Re: 14th-15th March Welsh Premier League
the table
Llanelli AFC 67
The New Saints 62
Rhyl FC 53
Bangor City 48
Carmarthen Town 47
Aberystwyth Town 44
Port Talbot Town 44
Haverfordwest County 41
Welshpool Town 41
Neath Athletic 40
Airbus UK Broughton 34
Newtown AFC 31
Connah's Quay Nomads 29
NEWI Cefn Druids 26
Caernarfon Town 26
Caersws FC 23
Porthmadog FC 22
Llangefni Town 17
some quick thoughts
Llanelli ...price very low
Cefn v Llangefni ...bottom of the table clash - Cefn please
Aber ...form side against Rhyl ...good side who want third spot
Bangor ...not in the best of form at the moment , but much better than C.Q. who are terrible away.
Carmarthen should win away
TNS "sack" their manager ,who are the best home side against the poor Caernarfon ,the side in a similar to situation to last year when they won at TNS, can't believe lightning will strike in the same place twice , or can it?
Welshpool lose their keeper against the surprise team of the season...no bet
The game of the two Ports , Port Talbot are a decent home side against my team Porthmadog who have a difficult run in to the end of season , we gave Bangor a scare last week and we do play better away from home , if Llangefni can beat them 2 weeks ago so can we, hopefully.
Carmarthen looks like my only bet at the moment

I've noticed Llanelli do not have a good tradition at home vs Haverfordwest as they have lost 4 of the last 5 encounters
on their ground.
If I'm not wrong Llanelli are a top side just since a couple of seasons so
the more recent defeats they have suffered in this fixture could be seen as upsets could not they?
Haverfordwest look an average away side (5/2/7) and this one is their 4th consecutive travel. Previously they took 7 out of 9 available points by winning at Caersws, Newton and sharing the points with Connah's Quay.
Not the strongest opposition indeed, but still a step forward in the form table, where they sit in the 8th place with only 2 losses in the last 10 games.
I have 7,60 available on AW and it seems a bit high to me, but I have not confidence at all with this league so I'd ask Traeth if another upset is possible tonight.

Re: 14th-15th March Welsh Premier League
With five points ahead of TNS, each game in next six rounds is crucial for Llanelli, because in the last round they're going to visit TNS.
Llanelli is in a terrific run, scoring easily, 35 in a last 10 games.
Haverfordwest is a mediocre team, which picked 16 points in last 10 games, but they actually had only one encounter with one of the top sides in league in that period, and that was loss vs. Rhyl with 2-0.
Also, in first game this season Llanelli easily won away 4-1.
I don't think that's kind of a game where we could find possibly surprise.

Re: 14th-15th March Welsh Premier League
I agree with what charly has posted , couldn't have put it better myself , kk you are right about Llanelli re the H2H , their last 4 H2H is more realistic however
Haverfordwest v Llanelli 1:4 Sat 10-11-2007
Haverfordwest v Llanelli 1:1 Fri 16-02-2007
Llanelli v Haverfordwest 3:2 Fri 06-10-2006
Haverfordwest v Llanelli 0:2 Fri 17-03-2006
Llanelli v Haverfordwest 0:1 Fri 11-11-2005
Llanelli are top of the current form table [10 games] but they did lose in the cup on Tuesday , Haverfordwest have played decent recently but the wins were against the clubs at the bottom half of the table
Newtown[12th] v Haverfordwest 1:4
Connahs Quay[13th] v Haverfordwest County 1:1
Caersws[16th] v Haverfordwest 1:2
Haverfordwest v Caernarfon[15th] 1:1
Neath [10th] v Haverfordwest 2:1
Haverfordwest v Llangefni[18th] 5:1
This is the time of the season that upsets happen in this league but I can't see it happening in this match

Re: 14th-15th March Welsh Premier League
Cheers mates, however Expekt is offering 8,50 on AW and I'm going to stake 1 unit on it.
Wasted money you will say, but many times I read "this team will win for sure, bur odds are crap so I'm leaving it alone" and today I say "this team will lose for sure but odds are high and I'll have a small punt!"

good luck mate .GIF) , that's the way to go , if you see value take it
I see value in my team Porthmadog , but that could be blind faith and I'm working hard to resist the temptation to place a bet , will wait for team news tomorrow , if any is available

Re: 14th-15th March Welsh Premier League
last night's results
Welsh Premier League
Llanelli 4-2 Haverfordwest ...Haverfordwest did lead 2-0 at the 30 minute mark
Newi Cefn Druids 2-1 Llangefni
a preview of some of today's matches from welsh-premier
Quote:
PORTHMADOG remain in desperate straits, next-bottom of the Welsh Premier, but manager Viv Williams believes his side can extend their three-match unbeaten run with a win at Port Talbot.
The Traethmen have won two and lost two on the previous four visits to the Remax Stadium and Williams says: "We are unbeaten in three games, which helps the mood, and because of our plight we need the three points on offer.
"We shall have to be at our best against opponents who include several really experienced players."
Striker Paul Roberts returns to the ranks, but left-back Mike Foster will be an absentee.
The Steelmen's Gareth Phillips is still suspended but Matthew Thompson, Karl Evans, Josh Payne and Mark McGibbon return as Talbot bid to recover from back-to-back losses.
"We have two big games coming up against Porthmadog and Connah's Quay Nomads and I'm looking for a six-point return," says manager Nick Tucker. "If we can achieve that we will be right up there challenging again for fourth spot."
Caersws, who host Carmarthen Town, are the side that Porthmadog must overtake to avoid the drop and Bluebirds' manager Dave Taylor welcomes back key duo Andrew Thomas and Colin Reynolds from bans.
But a recent lack of goal will not be helped by the unavailabilty through suspension of forward Neil Mitchell, while the Old Gold's striker Jamal Easter is also sidelined for disciplinary reasons.
Welshpool can make it three wins on the bounce at home to Neath Athletic, but home boss Tomi Morgan will be without Brett Jefferies (hamstring) and Chris Venables (groin), while keeper Ged McGuigan has left the club.
"We lost badly to them at our ground earlier in the season and last year they beat us soundly in the Welsh Cup," says Neath manager Andrew Dyer.
"They have some, strong players who we need to keep quiet and if we remain solid we can return with a result."
Newtown chief Darren Ryan has challenged his side to bounce back after one of their worst displays of the season in the 4-1 home reverse to Haverfordwest.
"It was a bad day at the office, but we have a chance to remedy that at Airbus," he says.
With all thoughts of relegation banished, the Airbus player-manager Gareth Owen is targetting 40 points, but goes into the game without striker Darren Wright (hernia) and defender Adam Hunter (ankle).
