How mad are these 2 games!

Carlisle v Bournemouth 1.70 3.75 4.33
Cheltenham v Doncaster 2.70 3.60 2.25

I aint backing Carlisle there not with the cherries on a six game winning streak and them faultering at the last fence.
I may get into Donny though, a nice wee run has seen them sneak into the promotion place but are they a horse that doesn;t like to lead to early?
I'm betting no , thats a marvellous price. 5 since a win for Cheltenham , with 3 straight defeats , I see them going down with the Gills as I think Bournemouth will get their point.

In a word, no

Apparently the result of their appeal against the points deduction is due tomorrow, I think, and depending on that they may need the win for automatic promotion. The game's also a sell-out, and I can't see them wanting to let down a capacity crowd.

Re: 3rd May Coca-Cola League One

Maybe it's just my natural pessimism as a Gills fan, but I really can't see anything other than a Leeds win on Saturday, and I think the price is failing to take into account their appeal against the points deduction.

The verdict on Leeds' appeal is due today at 5pm, and I'd fancy their chances of landing some kind of compromise, maybe 5 points back.
BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Leeds United | Leeds set to hear points verdict

If that happens, they'll be going for automatic promotion, and there's no way their price is going to be anywhere near as high as the 1.98 currently available on Betfair.

Add to that Gillingham's terrible away form - 2 points from the last 10 aways, 24 goals conceded in that time, and 2-4-16 for the whole season - and it's hard to see any cause for optimism really.

Overs may also be worth considering, a draw is certainly no good to the Gills, and if Leeds' appeal is successful, it'll be no use to them either, so you'd expect both sides to have to go for goals. Even if they're unsuccessful, they're still the 2nd top scorers in the division, and the Gills have the 2nd worst defence in the division.

There was also an article on a Leeds website last week saying how they'll be glad to relegate us - they don't like our gobby chairman (an irony seemingly completely lost on fans of a club run by Ken Bates ), despite the fact he apparently voted against their points deduction. Still, that's just some of the fans, I can't imagine the players really giving a toss about that.

I've taken 10pts on Leeds @ 1.98

Bournemouth are in super form and Carlisle's home form has faltered over their last few games, Their in terrible form, i fancy Bournemouth to win and avoid relegation, 3/1 in the local clinker price.

Well , i will go against populer opinion and have a bet on Carlisle to win.

The biggest game of the season for the Cumbrians , yes Bournemouth have hit a decent run of form , but i expect Carlisle to rediscover the brilliant home form.

Manager John Ward is certainly upbeat about the game...

Quote:
Carlisle United boss John Ward believes the pressure is no longer on their shoulders going into the final league game of the season against Bournemouth.
The Cumbrians are still in the hunt for automatic promotion, but with a play-off place secure Ward is confident his side can perform without pressure.
"It's an outside chance we've got so maybe that will relax us and push us on a little," he told BBC Radio Cumbria. "Hopefully the supporters will come along and get behind the team."
