pre season friendlies

was considering a few quid on a ipswich town / charlton double tonight, pre season friendlies are a mugs game normally i know(having lost quite heavily a few pre seasons back)but even if ipswich send a young side to bury town 4-5 seems a decent price bearing in mind the strength of ipswichs reserves and young players coming through.
charlton meanwhile are sending a strong side to welling for their annual friendly, a young side lost 1-0 to bromley last night but a much stronger, experienced side is expected to feature tonight, 7-5 at bet 365 looks worth a few quid imo

Re: pre season friendlies

Hi guys. Please post yr comments and opinions.
I will be on Ipswich and Ipswich over tonight. They will field mix team with players from 1st team against Brentford with loads of new signings. I dont know how r Brentford is prepared for this game but I think Ipswich is gonna take this game more serious. Plus class difference.
Thats my opinion. Thnx

ipswich are sending a strong side tonight and look a good shout at 10-11 best price, brentford have released/lost a few players since last season most notably their captain, but they are also signing a few useful players at this level(adam newton and charlie macdonald the most notable).ipswich obviously the quality side should win but being a friendly small stakes for me.
the bookies have learnt their lesson after weds night,
charlton were 7-5 to win at welling (conf south) on weds(what a price),tonight they are 1-2 to win at ebbsfleet who are conference national

i was looking at Hull myself Bromsgrove as every player must be wanting to put on a good display for the challenge ahead in the Premiership wanting a start in the first game but I don't know enough about them to offer a fair opinion, all info greatly appreciated from those in the know.

Hull will have to be very poor to not beat Ferriby but of course, its a friendly.

The Tigers' friendly fixtures at North Ferriby (Monday July 14th) and Winterton (Tuesday July 15th) will be reduced to 35 minutes each way, rather than 45 minutes each way.

With City playing games on consecutive nights, the decision was taken following consultation between the clubs involved.

Hull City AFC would like to thank both North Ferriby and Winterton for their co-operation in this matter.

FERRIBY GAME A SELL OUT

North Ferriby United’s pre-season friendly against Premier League Hull City for the Billy Bly Memorial Trophy this coming Monday night has sold out.
The game will be the Tigers first competitive one after returning from their Italian training camp and with plenty of big names taking the field including recent Brazilian signing Geovanni. Former Ferriby man and Wembley hero Dean Windass should also be playing.

Club Chairman Les Hare is excited about the prospect of not only hosting their annual game with Hull City but it being an extra special game with the Tigers having reached the top flight of English football.

“To be hosting Hull City in their first game as a Premier League club is something special for everyone associated with North Ferriby United,” said Hare.

“I am also very pleased we can announce the game is sold out and which just goes to show the magnitude of talent Phil Brown will bring here on Monday evening. It is an exciting time for us here at Ferriby and continues the fantastic relationship we have with Paul Duffen and Hull City.

“The Billy Bly Memorial Trophy is played for each year between the two clubs and always sets the season off to a great start. It also gives fans a chance to see the City squad at close quarters prior to their historic season.”

With the game being a sell out there will be no admission on the night so fans without tickets are advised not to turn up. Supporters are further advised to arrive early as there will be a greater volume of traffic than normal.

To alleviate potential parking problems supporters are urged to use Ferriby School which is situated 100 yards on the left as you turn into Church Road . There will additional parking facilities at the Ferriby Riding Centre which is situated just beyond the railway bridge further down Church Road . Turnstiles will be open from 6.30 p.m. with full bar and catering facilities available inside the ground.

Re: pre season friendlies

Seems Rafa will give chances to some younger players against Tranmere..
Considering Tranmere side will be more motivated (some new trnasfers will be on the field tough) they have a chance to stop Liverpool in that friendly..

@7.50 Tranmere to win and 2.75 Double chance seems worths trying small stakes

WATCH RAFA PREVIEW TRANMERE

everton play sion from the swiss league today, from the news i have read everton have left a fair few big hitters at home and this will be their first competitive game pre season, sion meanwhile have got about five pre season games already under their belts and despite only being a mediocre side in last years swiss league i wont risk a bet today.on paper everton should win but not for me.
villa meanwhile have took a very strong squad to switzerland, beating fc wil 6-0 on thursday, their first pre season game. they need to get up to speed as quickly as possible as they play in the inter toto next weekend, their passport to the uefa cup.their opponents today zurich came third in the swiss league last season and have already played about 5 pre season games,i am hoping villas extra quality will prevail today at 10-11
