Re: Hoots Mon! It's the Scot's 1-2-3: 4th Nov

Right lets have a look at this and please god let it be an interesting week as i dont think ive had one this season yet. Nothing to get into really.

Livingston odds on at Airdrie They couldnt score in a Wetherspoons even if they were not bad looking and were offering women free shots. Airdrie are a bit inconsistant and their forwards are hardly firing on all cylinders either. Dont think i'll be into that one.

Clyde v Hamilton. Now this is a better game. Played twice already this season due to the abd game. Hamilton have put 3 past them both times. I quite like Hamilton away but Broadwood is a hard place to go and on their day Clyde be be pretty solid. I'd have to initially fancy the away but you can just see the spoils being shared. Interesting all in i'd say though.

Dundee v Gretna is a bugger of a game. another that could end 3-3. Dundee will be up for it and so will 99& of the crowd. They'll be missing the experience of Ray on the pitch. Have gretna's injuries cleared up? Dundee werent that bad last week and seem steady enough especially at home and Gretna are Dr Jeckll and Mr Hyde of the 1st division. again loads to look at that one. I'd be mad to say i could like the away but i might just (after liking the home at one point)

QOS v Ross is another great one to look at. I dont know how Ross do down at QOS but i like the sound of QOS at home as theyve been a bit unlucky of late before last week. Ross though are more than capable of playing anyone on their day and showed this lately when doing ok and wiothout influential Cowie. He should be back. Hard one to call really but again with some digging it could turn up something. Hopefully QOS will play Thompson from the off and we'll all be sitting happy as he scores 2 before half time.

How long can Partick's luck continue or are they just clinical buggers? Mark Roberts i knew when he was hanging about space invader arcades i 'bounced' in and ive followed his career from his kilmarnock days. He's a shite and just cant stop scoring at the mo. Thistle playing away suits them. Need to read reports but either the home is a very good bet or a very silly one

Cowdenbeath v Raith. Where do i begin with this one. Raith cant score for toffee and Cowdenbeath on their day will take every chance they get. I can see this being all raith possessionwise for 80 mionutes and Cowdenbeath scoring 3 in 4 minutes at some point.'d love to be on the away here but i'll have to do a lot of reading. the Raith fans have been so let down this season and injuries dont help. Ive managed to avoid backing Raith the last few times and i might just jump on the Bandwaggon when its winning. Could it be this week? I dont want to miss it if it is.

I keep saying this each week like 'forfar may have injuries but theyve still got some good players there. be wary etc' and they keep going on and getting gubbed 5-0 and 8-0 etc I'd want a little more on the Brechin price but could be interested. I think Brechin have a problem scoring goals at the mo which is always a worry. They could/should have too much for Forfar who could pop over their local park and still lose a game at the mo it would seem.

Morton seem to have stopped the rot v Peterhead after being unable to beat them last season. Need to read up on their win at peterhead this season but Peterhead werent firing on all cylinders. 9/2 looks a good price to me but Peterhead would have to be on top of their game to get anything at Morton this season. Morton seem a lot more solid than theyve been for a few seasons.

Berwick i could like at The rock. Hard place to go traditionally for all its short years but i always like Berwick away. Still missing Swanson and co and Dumbarton could be shaping up as if they have true title ambitions. Will dumbarton be missing Boris?

East Fife Elgin hardly sets my world on fire on first inspection. Elgin beating Stenhousemuir and east Stirling. Not a bad reccord the saway team in this fixture if i remember rightly As i say it doesnt do much for me but i'd love to get involved in the away.

Montros v Arbroath again looks interesting. Arbroath look a bit dissinterested themselves of late mind. Montrose can be anything. Infact it doesnt look interesting to me just a horrible fixture to guess the outtcome from where im standing.

Mmmm Albion on the nice turf of Queens Park. Im sure they were about 10 games unbeaten there not so long ago or else it was the other way around I like Queens Park and i want a better price (which we'll get) and i could well be on them. No disrespect to albion but i think QP's passing game could be too much for them. Big spaces for Lennon to cover at the back etc. Interested in the h2h's

Stenhousemuir v east Stirling. Fcuk off.

Re: Hoots Mon! It's the Scot's 1-2-3: 4th Nov

Im reading that Montrose will have arguably their best player back in Craig higgins after a few weeks out and he should tighten up the defence. 2 influential players in Andy Rodgers and Chris McLeod missed Saturdays game too. If Arbroath dont start playing i could well see them getting beat. Lets look at betbase for some past reults etc to remind us all again.

Arbroath have won all 4 games in the past year between them. Arguably MNontorse are greatly improved from last season. I think i'll put that one on the back burner for now. Be interested in what edin has to say about his teams chances on saturday. Tight division though. Sounds like Montrose were awful last time they met
http://www.pieandbovril.co.uk/forum/...44818-100.html

Bah QP havent beaten albion in their last 4 meetings. shame as i like QP's home form this season.

elgin 1-2 east fife
http://www.pieandbovril.co.uk/forum/...hp?t45034.html
away team won that 6/7 lately. Two big physical sides.. I could go for the overs.

Berwick 3-0 Dumbarton
http://www.pieandbovril.co.uk/forum/...hp?t45032.html

can see that being a tight one. Hopefully with Berwick squeezing a 1-0 win.

I know it was just one of them days when East Stirling hit everything right to beat Stenhousemuir 5-0 that day. How could you back either of these teams with any confidence?

Here lads thats a not bad coupon on offer surely? there must be discussion, there NEEEDS to be discussion. We dont all have private paid services do we? If anyone wants to pay me a fiver for my tthoughts then send me it via paypal to kompressaur.com and then just read it here for nothing. They know nothing barr being a paid tipster and if you think its clever then sticck it up your arses imo. Read reports as they come in and form your own opinion

Go on post one good scot's tipter site here and we'll have a look.. Its the same as its folk wanting top make money from tipping as from results alone. The world aint full of fools is it?

Re: Hoots Mon! It's the Scot's 1-2-3: 4th Nov

Quick thoughts on these games:

Livingston are far too short no way they should be odds on especially when Airdrie picked up recently especially at home. Clyde vs Hamilton is a nasty one and i'm sure it will be a nasty game as well too much hate there. Dundee vs Gretna and i think 19/10 for Dundee isn't a bad price with a team that is struggling at the moment hopefully 2/1 will pop up and i might use them as a outsider. Queen of the South vs Ross County is a game i don't fancy going on although Queen of the South might start turning out results now. St Johnstone vs Partick and two weeks ago Partick fans was shouting for dick head now they are top of the league. Fancy St Johnstone but can't back them due to Partick away form.

Derby city now first up is Cowdenbeath vs Raith and i'm not sure about this game - slight fancy Cowdenbeath but not sure to be honest. Forfar vs Brechin and obviously i fancy Brechin at 4/5 decent price for me although another derby. Morton at 1/2 against a decent Peterhead side nope not getting involved although i think Morton will win. Stirling vs Alloa and i think Stirling are a bit short as this is another derby and Alloa have impressive form - not interested to be honest but 7/2 for Alloa is big. Stranraer vs Ayr is a tough one - Ayr are fantastic away from home but this is pretty close to another derby is it.

Dumbarton vs Berwick is a tough game for me think Dumbarton should win but not really interested in it. East Fife vs Elgin and it points to a home win although 5/11 for a team that won a few recently i'm not really interested. The Angus derby of Montrose vs Arbroath should be interesting i fancy Arbroath again and at 13/8 maybe its worth going with - mmm not sure. Queen Park vs Albion Rovers and Queen Park have outstanding home form and i fancy them to beat Albion Rovers. Finally Stenny should beat East Stirlingshire.

Re: Hoots Mon! It's the Scot's 1-2-3: 4th Nov

Cheers Milners. Im just looking at some upddated odds and see how they make me feel. Thinking offf it Stranraer had 2 sent off last week inc Michael Moore. As you say Ayr on the road are ok and its as close as Ayr get to a derby since Kilmarnock went back to the premier. I am never overly imnpressed with Stranraer at home and Ayr is on my shortlist. Quite like the sound of yourt 4/5 on Brechin too Milners. QOS i dunno know about as it seems they just took their chances on Sat. Livi have forgottten how to score goals.

!st Division i might forget this week. St J i kinda liked but i read J Scotland willl be missing this week and their always a bit nery at home.

Raith still miissing players but i could go for the 5/2 with Tote. Brechin 4/5 Ladbrokes too. Noice. One to look into. Peterhead at 7/1 with sportingodds is far too big a price and i could be tempted on a wee single on them.

I agree with you on Alloa being too big at 7/2 also Milners. Infact i could like that a lot. Bollocks Ayr 6/4 with Ladbrokes. thats almost about right. Ayr aint all that really. If Weaver is back then i might go for it.

Expekt are too high on Berwick at 21/20. the 6/4 on them at victor chandler seems about right to me. Queens Pk are still a bit short at 4/5 so i dunno about that one. stenhousemuir ht/ft 5/6 sportingodds.....nah in times of old i'd have taken it at evens when stenhousemuir were playing better and east stirling were playing worse. Their at home mind...i dont know

Hi folks,
scotland football have become terrible to predict. Past years here was real gold mine, and this year I am realy missing it. My budget as well. There is not posible to find one or two nice picks in 4 ligas anymore.

Aye Div 3 especially has become murder this season Johnny. I rememeber last year when some weeks i'd have 8 or 9 quite solid fancies. I dont think ive even had 8 or 9 solid picks for the whole of this season. Things are starting to pan out a bit now though and there's bits of form about. Aye i think there's gold in there hills yet Johnny.

Elgin's chances of winning increase as East Fife sign Lee Wilkie on loan for a month from Dundee United.. . I know he got rosted by Anthony Stokes on Saturday but surely no reason to ship him out to Methill straight away..

Re: Hoots Mon! It's the Scot's 1-2-3: 4th Nov

partick v St Johnston
http://www.pieandbovril.co.uk/forum/...t45444-50.html
Looking at it St J have a great record v Partick. Maybe it time for me to back against a Thistle team over-rated by the bookies

Ross 1-0 QOS
http://www.pieandbovril.co.uk/forum/...hp?t45617.html
Ross aint lost their last 6 v QOS. Could well be a draw. Too tight for me.

Ayr 0-2 stranraer
http://www.pieandbovril.co.uk/forum/...hp?t45039.html

raith 1-3 cowdenbeath
http://www.pieandbovril.co.uk/forum/...hp?t45038.html
Raith might not have enough firepower to win this one.

Brechin 4-2 Forfar
http://www.pieandbovril.co.uk/forum/...hp?t45037.html
Brechin just let us come at them, screw it up and then they counter-attacked, looking dangerous the majority of times that they went forward. We did have spells of pressure in the second half but it was when the score was 3-1 and Brechin looked comfartable (sic)

Hopefully the same tactics will be employed away from home too

aloa 1-2 stirling
http://www.pieandbovril.co.uk/forum/...hp?t45041.html
be interested in alloa's team that day and from their team last time out.

peterhead 0 - 4 Morton
http://www.pieandbovril.co.uk/forum/...hp?t44978.html

I like this and im gonna blame the result on Peterhead's poor form at the time and the wind

Quote:
the wind was the only reason that we scored 4 in the first half and none in the second, basically (aside from the fact that morton eased off in the 2nd as they realised the game was won).

Re: Hoots Mon! It's the Scot's 1-2-3: 4th Nov

Right lads a look at the ones that interest me , Really fancied ST j to beat Thistle at 11/10 but now i have doubts because J Scotland and Paul Lawson, still could back them as Thistle have been a bit lucky to be up their imo. Airdrie at 5/2 looked massive but they also have 2 suspended Lovering and ano , may leave alone or do something with airdrie in trebles etc.Qos slightly overpriced at 7/4 v Ross but looks a bit tricky long trip for Ross though. Div 2 looks tricky would be interested in Brechin but not at that price Morton should win 4/7 aint great but still might include them . Alloa 7/2 agree to big tails will be up after beating Morton . Div 3 Like Arbroath 13 /8 v Montrose still think they will be up there at the end of season . Queens v Albion hoping for evs on Queens , seen them a few times at Hampden, they are playing well, Albion improved but could loose here. I saw Elgin at hampden easily beat by in form Q P but I did see enough to sugest that they were never a 5/1 shot v Stenny, backed them for small money were talking 7s this week no way are they 7s may back them. Saw E Fife and Elgin cant see that Elgin can be 7s.

I never knew Des Mckeon has left his managers job at Stenhousmuir Danq till i read it in a NEWSPAPER in someones house. Remember newspapers?

I think your post sums up to me that again there is slim pickings in scotland this week and there is nothing really barr tentaive choices

Still we'll see what happens from now till then.

Re: Hoots Mon! It's the Scot's 1-2-3: 4th Nov

Yo, quick guest appearance to give some thoughts about the Arbroath game...

We've been bloody awful in recent weeks, can't create an opportunity, and poor at the back.

BUT, it's Montrose we're playing, which is a different kettle of fish. Huge rivalry, and the manager always has the players well fired up for it. Arbroath fans are superb in these games, outnumbering and outsinging the Montrose fans home and away, which i'm sure has a positive effect on our players.

Won the last 3 games against them, and i'm sure this will be the game the manager will use to get our season back on track. The fans will definately forgive these lacklustre performances in recent weeks with a convincing win in Montrose.

Injuries and poor performances from certain players will change the look of the team, and i can only think this will be a bonus, as it has been all wrong in recent weeks.

Bryan (Barry) Scott back from injury will torment the defence, and Arbroath will win again!!

If anyone goes to the game, can u please remind me of the score, as i'm gettin the 10.30 train and will be FOOKED!!!

Arbroath @ 13/8, lump on
