Re: CC League One: 3rd/4th Nov
Komp - unfortunately for Forest supporters I think you're right in so much that
Yeovil v Bristol City 13/10 9/4 7/4
this game will probably end in a win for one side or another. I did some research (a long time ago) that showed that games with very close odds like these (where you might expect a draw) more often than not end up in a positive result one way or another.
Huddersfield v Scunthorpe 13/10 9/4 7/4
is another game Forest supporters want to see finish all square but it also falls foul to the 'positive result one way or another' stat.
I'm sure Doc or someone of that kind of mind will have the actual stats (not just the bit of research I did) but it I'm sure I'm right on this.
They'll probably both draw now.

Re: CC League One: 3rd/4th Nov
I always swear I'm never going to back the Gills again, then change my mind, and regret it afterwards. Regret, here I come again
Gills -0.5 is evens with Bet365, and that's enough to tempt me in. Gills have won 4 of their last 5 at home, and 4 in a row at home to Chesterfield. We've got a full squad to choose from, we've had a week off, and we kept our first clean sheet of the season last weekend.
Chesterfield meanwhile have just had to make an emergency loan signing, someone Hughes, ex-NI U21 international signed from Thurrock, due to injury problems, it seems captain Allott will now be missing today. They're also (according to the Gills website anyway) without Shaw, Nicholson, Picken and Davies, although Nicholson and Davies only have one sub appearance between the two of them this season anyway. Added to that, they were playing in midweek (albeit with a weakened side), and have a big game coming up this Tuesday against Charlton in the Carling Cup.
All in all, enough to make me think Gills are worth backing at that price.
By the way, as jbgb seems to be reluctant to reveal the score I mentioned earlier in the week, it was a 10-0 win to the Gills, back in 1987

It really is a game we should be looking at winning.
I'm confident of us getting a win, but Cheltenham just seem to be one of those teams we cant beat.
Rotherham are the bet of the day in my view. Carlisle are on a bit of a slip, whereas the Millers would be 4th without the points deduction. IMO, they have the best striker in this league in Will Hoskin's, and were the side who's impressed me the most this season - despite us beating them.
Home Banker - Forest are a certain for the 3 points. Brentford were absolutely shocking by all reports last weekend, and forest beat them in the JPT in midweek. I really do think Brentford are going to struggle this season.

Carlisle's bad run has, I think, coincided with Hawley being out injured, hasn't it? He's back today, which is enough to put me off going against Carlisle here.

Bah, our keeper had a broken collarbone and continued in goal. I will look at the injuries for us, Picken is a major blow as he is useful throughout the pitch, playing literally anywhere. Allott is class aswell, the holding midfielder, but we do have cover in Michael Standing and Mark Hughes (who despite being on loan from Thurrock is a good player at this level, he was at Oldham recently). Nicholson and Davies are bit part players who both played midweek so should be fit.
I aint gonna be betting on this one, anything could happen with our team at the minute, so topsyturvey.

eek. sorry
Apparantly we battered them today. 2-1 flattered them. Just had a quick gander at the Cheltenham forum's, and there saying were the best side they've seen this season. Stefan Stam is injured though, which is something to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
Chesterfield fan - Mark Hughes is a quality little player. Not the most skillful in this league by a long shot, but he's the type of player you know your always going to get 1005. Glad to see he scored today. It took him a year to score for us.
