Re: Spread Betting on bookings

I've just bought it at 5 with Sporting Index Dave. I can see Ronaldo getting some punishment today and wouldn't be surprised to see him the cause of a couple of bookings.

Bollocks, no chance now. I need to sort out a SI account, have just Spreadex and Spreadfair at the moment. IG and SI would be useful (although there isn't a huge amiunt of variation in spread markets compared to fixed odds IMO, mainly because there's less competition).

Re: Spread Betting on bookings

True but every point is money so it's well worth it. I've been with SI pretty much since the beginning when it was telephone only (and all the traders were stuck up city traders with plums in their gobs and names like Tarquin and Edward) and I've found them to be the best. Done Spreadex, Spreadfair and IG before that but SI is the only one I've stuck with and never had a problem with them. You really should get an account. They've usually got a free £200 spread bet offer or something for first time accounts.

I was just about to reply with a banner
They have a choice of promos..

Open an account (credit and suitability checks may apply) and place 5 bets (each bet must have the potential to win and lose £20 or more) and we'll give you a £100 1st innings bowler's wickets bet on any live England Test.

Alternatively you can claim £100 cash or one of the offers below after placing 5 bets (each bet must have the potential to win and lose £20 or more):

Re: Spread Betting on bookings

35 min second Chelsea booking Droghba - looked like for use of elbow when challenging for a header.

Re: Spread Betting on bookings

Not only that but they're doing the most attacking which, obviously, usually leads to the most fouls. Plus they have the lead which just adds to the frustration of the Chelsea players and makes them inclined to do something a little rash.

Downside is that the ref is having an excellent game and I think we'll see him try to keep 22 players on the field if he can do.

Re: Spread Betting on bookings

I think the ref having an excellent game is a positive to be honest - a bad ref is less predictable, and more likely to screw up the bet.

Re: Spread Betting on bookings

True. The only thing that concerns me is that teams who come out second half with a goal lead almost always back off a little and allow more possesion to the opposition. Possibly meaning that Chelsea will spend more time in their half than they did in the first and thereby invite more fouls/bookings.

Ronaldo and Giggs are always a plus if they stay on though because even if they do this, they will be the "out" and they're gonna run with it till some fucker hacks them down.

Ashley Cole for next booking I reckon.

Re: Spread Betting on bookings

Exactly as feared. Ten minutes into second half and Chelsea have had 67% of possesion. Carrick booked and Giggs lucky not to be.
