Proto, one more thing.

As much as I think Liverpool will beat Man City I haven't backed them at 1.44 in the UK so I certainly wouldn't bet on them at 1.33 at the best odds you can get.

Their midweek CL game and injuries would put me off at such a short price.

Re: English Premiership 25-26th Nov

Gentlemen, Gentlemen!!...such negativity , such woah..such wayyy..sorry getting carried away there....anywqy..Yes...EPL matches this weekend...

So many teams involved midweek , plus everyone wondering what affect this will have on said teams...well, maybes aye, maybes naw....as a great scot has often said.

With there being midweek ties as well it may pay to be more concerned with those sides involved: all will stay at Home or Away for the next ties, opponents in brackets

Liverpool(Portsmouth)/Man City(Aston Villa)
Bolton(Chelsea)/Arsenal(Fulham)
Man Utd(Everton)/Chelsea(Bolton)

For me the side that stands out is Bolton: they have two massive tasks in dealing with both Arsenal and Chelsea in a 5 day period.
It's no picnic for Chelsea either with a trip to Old Trafford followed by one to the Reebok , but they have depth in their squad , whereas Bolton most certainly do not , plus Chelsea have a great track record there....

Bolton have beaten Chelsea once in the last 10 meetings , with this particular fixture a very poor 0-2-3 . Chelsea are on a run of 3 in a row.

Arsenal are 2-2-3 for their last run of visits to the Trotters , but home and away for the last 12 is 4-5-3.
A different side will be fielded against Bolton due to injuries and suspensions , but by Wednesday night vs Fulham ,I think the full strength squad will be seen.

Bolton seem to be the better bet vs Arsenal, if you go by the stats , but with enforced changes to the team, this could be misleading.
Henry doesn't like playing Bolton...that's clear , but Walcott or Adebayour might be happy to. Gallas, Rosicky , Lauren and Henry were all missing when Wenger faced West Brom in the Carling Cup this season, winning 2-0 away. They had 56% possession as well.
Against Everton the next round , the same team won 1-0 away. They had 61% possession this time.
2 wins, 2 clean sheets, against 2 very physical sides.

Sam has to put a stop to his winless run of 4 games (0-1-3) and allowing Sheff Utd to come back for a point after being 2-0 up was worrying stuff.
Nolan coming back doesn't mean they automatically play better , but he is a key influence. Anelka's lack of form is a bigger hinderence to them , and pressure is building with each blank week.

I think Bolton are in a real slump, and they may be overestimating their recent successes against Wenger's boys.

Henry will be the first to stir the others up, getting them fired up enough to take this opportunity to show us all what they can do, and in the process rub Bolton's face in it.

Arsenal are great value @ 2.10 eurobet, goldbet

Re: English Premiership 25-26th Nov

I some how over looked the West Ham game but they are certainly in with a shout after the recent upturn in form they have shown.
For all of West Hams problems they possess a strong team and Pardew now looks to be going back to the players that have served him well in the past.
Sheffiled will give them a game but with the players they have i cannot see them causing another upset like they did @ Necastle as the Hammers should prove far to strong up front and put them on the back foot for most of the game.

I'll add them to my short list along with Villa as nothing else really appeals to me.

Hello and welcome to TDP Proto Analyst.
Regarding the Liverpool v City game, I'd leave it well alone.
Liverpool are obvious favourites but those are very short odds to risk any cash on.
Liverpool are having an up and down season and City are becoming very strong defensively and no doubt will be looking to get a point here.
Offensively Liverpool are not the strongest team in the prem and apart from last week City are also struggling to score, personally if i was going to bet on this match I'd go for the under 2.5 goals.

Early KO Charlton v Everton

Too tricky to call after the early exit of Dowie and a home win must now be number one prority to appease the Chartlon fans, Everton after a great start are now beginning to play like everybody expected from the off and are becoming no great shakes.

This has draw written all over it and theres not much to choose between these two teams player wise.

Heres the review taken from Sky..

Charlton Athletic will be counting on home comforts against Everton in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off, live on PremPlus.

The Addicks have won their last two games in all competitions at The Valley following wins over Bolton and Man City.

However, two straight away league defeats to Wigan and Reading sees them propping up The Premiership.

Everton halted their mini-slump with success over Bolton last weekend and will be looking to heap more misery on Les Reed's side.

The Toffees avoided defeat to Charlton last term after following up a 3-1 home win over The Addicks with a goalless draw at The Valley.

A thigh strain is set to keep Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink on the sidelines meaning England international Darren Bent is likely to lead the line on his own.

Reed welcomes Amdy Faye back from suspension along with Djimi Traore, who has recovered from a broken leg, although Souleymane Diawara (hamstring) is struggling.

Gonzalo Sorondo and Cory Gibbs both played for Charlton's reserves in midweek. However, the clash with Everton comes too soon for the duo.

James Beattie is set to be given a run in Everton's line-up following the injury to key midfielder Tim Cahill, who suffered medial knee ligament damage against The Trotters.

Beattie has failed to secure a regular place this season, but will likely partner Andy Johnson against The Addicks.

Simon Davies collected a thigh strain playing for Wales recently, although he is expected to be in consideration for Saturday.

Gary Naysmith, Alessandro Pistone and youngster Patrick Boyle are all sidelined, but Nuno Valente should fill in at left back allowing Joleon Lescott to play as centre back.

Skysports.com Prediction: 0-1
David Moyes' side to pinch the points at The Valley

Player to watch: Andy Johnson

Re: English Premiership 25-26th Nov

Liverpool, even at 1.44 have to be backed.

They have taken 28 points from their last 30 available at home where as City have had a continual mare on the road, 5 points from last 18 away games.

Interesting to note that Liverpool have been ahead at HT in 9 of their last 10 home wins, City have conceded in 9 of their last 10 aways and been behind in 14 of those last 18 away games. Liverpool HT/FT also appeals.

I would also fancy Villa, Boro have taken 4 points from their last 30 available away from home and Spurs, who perform very well at home against sides who are not called Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd. Worth noting as well that Wigan have been level in their last 5 aways and Spurs are a much stronger side in the 2nd half than first so Draw/Spurs could be a nice bet as well.

Good reading that Eddy , I agree that Bolton are overperforming seasonwise and that tonking they took against Man Ure spoke volumes to me. Cracks maybe beginning to appear , I think the Arse may play better here without Henry , 2 hungry players up front will certainly test the Bolton reargaurd.

Also I'll be continuing to back Man Ure at home at anything over evens, it never fails me , I think it's the whole situation where there are quoted as slight underdogs or are fancied only to have an even chance that they play all their best stuff .

I would be interested to see the stats on that Keema. How many times are Man Utd over Evens in the PL in a season? Only against Arsenal, Chelsea and perhaps Liverpool (if Liverpool are in any form, which this season they are not). So twice, maybe three times in the PL a season?

They lost one of these games this season against Arsenal already.

2005 - 2006 they won all three games.

2004 - 2005 they won 2 out of 3 - losing to Chelsea.

Interesting Keema.

Re: English Premiership 25-26th Nov

Wrong. You could get evens or above on them away against Bolton only the other week and at home against Liverpool recently.

They won them both.
