Re: English Premiership 25-26th Nov

What a nightmare set of fixtures as every game could go either way , can see a lot of draws this weekend and theres not a game i would put my house on.

Only one to stand out at first glance is Villa who should see off boro and 1.8's looks tempting but as for the rest i'm not so sure about.
Liverpol maybe as City are shite away from home but after the scoring spree last week i wouldent like to back against them and the draw maybe on the cards as Liverpool aint to hot at the moment.

All of these games need a bit of thought and the Man U v Chelsea game should round the weekend off nicely, I quite fancied Chelsea to pull it out of the bag through their sheer strength up front but after Drogba's early exit tonight through Injury it would throw the game wide open if he was to sit this one out.

Seems to be like this every week now doesnt it

Drogba and Ballack potentially out for Chelsea which would be a massive blow. I would still fancy Chelsea to overcome United.

In the big matches so far United have failed to do the business going down to Arsenal and Celtic. You can only beat whats on front of you mind and they are playing quite well but i couldnt trust them.

Bolton could interest me although i would be hoping for a bit better price than available.

Arsenal not won in their last 4 league visits to the Reebok with Bolton winning their last 2 there against them.

Bar that a pretty dire fixture list

Re: English Premiership 25-26th Nov

First impressions are as follows.

Bolton Vs Arsenal - a coin flip so the value lies with laying Arsenal surely?

Charlton Vs Everton - With Cahill I would be on the away side but without him I think this is best left alone.

Liverpool Vs Man City - you would expect Liverpool (great home side) to beat Man City (awful away side) but the midweek CL game and the 3 injuries to Liverpool means it is best left alone at 1.44

Just my intial thoughts but like Slick I'll probably swerve this division this weekend.

That Man Utd v Chelsea should be some good viewing

My advice on Charlton v Everton is dont bet on either side to win. I havent a scooby whats going to happen in it and the odds compilers dont either. I guess the draw could have a bit of value to it. I fancy a lot of games for draws here actually but cant be arsed to back that up with any real cash.

I'd fancy Villa as well as spurs who are a good side at home and i think Newcastle can lift themselves this weekend after a good win midweek and a great draw against Arsenal last weekend.

Re: English Premiership 25-26th Nov

Here are my thoughts on the Premiership (and probable bets to be confirmed tomorrow).

Villa to beat Middlesbrough @ 1.825 -0.5 Asian Handicap (Bet365).

Villa have some important players coming back for this fixture. Petrov, McCann and Hughes are all returning. Steve Sutton is doubtful though.

Middlesbrough have the opposite fortune with Downing only being 50/50 and Viduka and Parnaby out still.

The form lines show a 4-2-0 home record for Villa and the opposite for Middlesbrough with a 0-2-4 record.

Bet365 offer 1.80 on the 1X2 market but as is normal offer different odds for exactly the same bet on -0.5 Asian Handicap at the slightly bigger 1.825

West Ham to beat Sheff Utd @ 1.80 (Bet365)

West Ham have won their last two at home with victories against Blackburn and Arsenal. But this isn't the reason for the bet.

The team news is pretty bad for Sheff Utd who don't have available some of their best players. Webber, Tonge, Armstrong and Sommeil are all out. I have been particularly impressed with the ex Man Utd youth player Webber when I have seen him and I think he will be a big miss. Tonge has always been a certain pick for Neil Warnock too when available isn't he?

Bolton to beat Arsenal @ 2.50 - draw no bet - (Bet365)

I fancy Bolton to beat Arsenal tomorrow due to team news mainly. Arsenal miss Henry, Van Persie, Gallas and Rosicky - about £75,000,000 worth of first team certainties. This will leave Arsenal with Walcott and Aliadiere up front - neither of which has scored this season. In fact the only player who is available for Arsenal who has scored away this term in the League is Adebayor.

Bolton welcome back Nolan to the side.

Senderos will probably step in for Gallas but I can see Bolton playing their normal game and peppering the Arsenal defence with long ball stuff. Any lack of understanding in the Arsenal defence (which is more likely with Senderos stepping in) might well get punished by the returning Nolan me thinks?

All these thoughts plus the fact that Arsenal really don't like it up them and the fact they usually struggle at Bolton make me go for the home win. However - like the screaming coward I am I have taken lesser odds on the draw no bet option offered in case Arsenal manage to get a point.

Shop about a wee bit Gett1n you can get slightly better prices for those 3 at other places. You got a sponsorship deal with bet365 or something?

No MrM.

I emptied all my betting accounts at the beginning of this season as I wanted to fund some expensive home improvements in our new house.

The Bet365 account was the only one that survived this cull which is why I am betting with them. The only thing that makes it easier is that their prices aren't too bad to be honest.

PS - I know I could deposit in my other 6 or 7 accounts but I just can't be arsed.

Re: English Premiership 25-26th Nov

I don't trust Hammers this season, but this time they should win without problems.

BBC:

Sheffield United defender Leigh Bromby may be available after recovering from a hamstring problem, but David Sommeil misses out with an ankle injury.

Danny Webber (hamstring), Michael Tonge (ankle) and Chris Armstrong (knee) are still all out for the Blades.

A real nasty set of fixtures there. Aston Villa are slightly temtping, but Middlesborough are one of those teams that you just don't know what you are going to get.

West Ham over Sheff Utd possible, but I can't trust West Ham here, not shown enough to warrant a bet IMO.

Re: English Premiership 25-26th Nov

Hello. I'm a punter from South Korea and REALLY pleased to join this site.

South Korea was a wasteland of sports betting and I deadly need your help.
Not until last February did the fixed-odds betting open and I've bet since
August on Premiership, La Liga, and CL. But the betting company here, named
'Proto' which I named myself after, is LEGAL MONOPOLY (for the government's
tax revenue), and those who bet on the foreign betting company/web site
can be punished by law (how poor we are!). As a result they make terribly
poor odds (e.g. the odds for the Reds' win this weekend are at least 1.40
in European major betting company but here they are just 1.33). To make
matters worse, we don't have enough information to punt and don't have
option to choose single match, either (we should bet at least on 2 matches).
You guys might agree with that this is a real COMEDY and feel inclined to
help us .

I am interested in the match Liverpool vs Man city. Basically the Reds are
likely to win, of course ; but I've heard that Xavi Alonso as well as 3 more
players (including Sissoko injured last week) were injured and are expected
to be out this weekend. So I'm not sure it'll be a blow to the Red's midfield
or not ; please give me some advice if it's best to be left or not. I'll really
appreciate your advice.

ps. If any of you feel sympathy with me and have interest in talking with
Asian punter, you can register my MSN account protoanalyst@gmail.com .
I hope I can help you bet on Asian Int'l match if interested.

If they had shown more the price would be different. And you would probably complain how short it is This is as good as they get in Premiership.

I see bets all season, in all leagues around the world, around the 1.72 to 2.00 mark where the bet is much more clea cut than this match.

Hi Proto - welcome to the Daily Punt.

This is what the BBC say about Liverpool vs Man City

Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy should be in the squad even though he is involved in a court case in Cardiff.

They are without Xabi Alonso and Mark Gonzalez (hamstring), while Stephen Warnock (groin) misses out and Jermaine Pennant (hamstring) is doubtful.

Manchester City's Dietmar Hamann has recovered from a thigh injury, though he will probably be on the bench.

Trevor Sinclair (knee) and DaMarcus Beasley (ankle) are out and Sun Jihai is troubled by a hamstring injury.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool (from): Reina, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Agger, Riise, Luis Garcia, Pennant, Gerrard, Zenden, Bellamy, Crouch, Kuyt, Fowler, Dudek, Guthrie, Hammill, Peltier.

Man City (from): Weaver, Isaksson, Hart, Richards, Onuoha, Dunne, Distin, M Mills, Thatcher, Jordan, Johnson, Vassell, Barton, Reyna, Hamann, Samaras, Corradi, Dickov, Sturridge.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
606 DEBATE: Give your thoughts on the match

Liverpool striker Peter Crouch:
"The most important thing is to get our Premiership form right. Maybe it hasn't been up to the standard we have set and certainly our away form has to be better.

"In the Champions League our form has been good so hopefully we can take that into the Premiership.

"Our home form is good and we want to keep that going. We do have to take that form with us away from home."

Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce:
"I sense a spring in the step of the players.

"We have done well in the last couple of matches and beating Liverpool at Anfield would give us an immense lift.

"And if Joey Barton can follow Micah Richards into the full England squad, it'd be marvelous for us, not least when it comes to attracting players."

BIG-MATCH FACTS

LIVERPOOL against Manchester City is a mid table match-up between two clubs both brilliant at home and wretched away. They have each collected 14 more points on their own territory than they have on opposition turf.

Already through to the knock out stages, the Merseysiders finished top of their Champions League group with a 2-0 home victory over PSV on Wednesday, and all but two of their 18 League points have also been picked up at Anfield. They've won their last two and are unbeaten in 22 home Premiership matches, having won 19 and drawn three since losing 1-4 to Chelsea on 2 October 2005.

The Reds 'doubled' Manchester City last season, and are chasing a fourth successive home win over them.

MANCHESTER CITY travel the 38 miles to Anfield looking to add to their measly single point on the road and register their first away victory of this Premiership season, breaking Liverpool's unbeaten home record in the process.
City go into this game on the back of last Saturday's 3-1 victory over Fulham when Bernardo Corradi scored a brace in a contest that was virtually over by half time. The Citizens are therefore seeking to complete back-to-back victories for the first time in 42 outings, since Everton and West Ham fell victim to them at the City of Manchester Stadium on 2 and 16 October 2005 respectively.

City have recorded only one Premiership victory over Liverpool at Anfield from their nine visits. Nicolas Anelka scored both goals, one from the spot, in a 1-2 triumph on 3 May 2003.

2. Holding a 100% record when opening the scoring in Premiership matches this season. Won four of four against Newcastle (h), Tottenham (h), Aston Villa (h) and Reading (h).
3. Conceded the opening goal in eight top tier matches. Only West Ham have allowed the opposition to score first more often (10 times).
4. Boast nine different scorers of their 14 League goals. Only Manchester united have more (10).
5. Only Chelsea have more impressive home form than Liverpool in the highest League. The champions have claimed 19 points at Stamford Bridge (six wins, one draw), the Merseysiders 16 at Anfield (five wins, one draw). The champions have played one more match and scored 14 goals in front of the home supporters, the Reds 13 - both have conceded just three times.
6. Portsmouth visit Anfield next, before another north west derby away to Wigan.

Lowest could fall: 14th
1. The last three matches have resulted in a loss, a draw and a victory in that order.
2. Bottom of the Premiership's "away" table with one point, scoring three goals and conceding 14. The goal difference of -11 is inferior to that of West Ham and Charlton, who also have just just one point, away from home.
3. Holding a 100% record when scoring first in Premiership games this season (won four of four - all at home - against Arsenal, West Ham, Middlesbrough and Fulham).
4. One of four clubs to have failed to score in seven Premiership matches. Newcastle, Sheffield United and West Ham are the others.
5. Won all three League games in which ahead at half time (against Arsenal, Middlesbrough and Fulham - all at home).
6. Three short of conceding 500 Premier League goals all time.
7. A 1-1 draw at Everton on 30 September is Manchester City's only point on the road this term. Infact they have only claimed five points from a last possible 54 away at Eastlands.
8. Managed one League win away from home in the whole of 2006. A 0-1 victory at Aston Villa on 25 April is City's only maximum in 17 away League games. They have lost 13 of the last 15 on the road.
9. A midweek trip to Aston Villa and next weekend's home game against Watford, precede the Manchester derby at Old Trafford on Saturday, 9 December.
