Check the head to heads as well mate. Only going from memory (which is shite) but the overs must be well ahead. Can't remember the last 0-0.

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

I know that Derby have been a bit more solid this season late and generally relied on better second half performances but the good news for overs backers is Wednesday's position in the away form table.

1.Derby County1482420:17 26
2.Birmingham City1481522:14 25
3.Sheffield Wednesday1363419:16 21

They've also scored seven goals in their last three away games (eleven out of their last four) which all points to one direction.

I'm increasing my bet on the overs based on that lot.

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

what a fukin mess you've made of this thread ya scruffy cnut , and all for a over 2.5!

4 goals in 9 for QPR now , 4 in 2 for Hull , a real 6 pointer this . QPR were fortunate v Luton in the cup .
Hull have lost Fagan to Derby and he's chipped in 4 goals from 8 in midfield.

QPR with no draw in 15, hmm looks drawey no?

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

True enough although QPR drew on Saturday , it's 13 league games they've gone without drawing .

Anyone else think Palace can beat Coventry ? why not , stan james go 3.2 for this quite likely event which I think is very takeable.

Look at Cov's recent efforts:

16-Dec-06 A West Brom L 0-5 - terrible
23-Dec-06 A Luton Town L 1-3 -Luton were awful at the time and Cov's goal was an OG
26-Dec-06 H Ipswich L 1-2 - poor
30-Dec-06 H Southend D 1-1 - at home to the then basement team - rubbish
01-Jan-07 A Leeds Utd L 1-2 Lost to leeds for goodness sakes!

Recently Adams has had the jeers ringing in his ears , he brought in some guy on a free from Norway in the window but 7 goals in 9 games doesn't lie.

Palace have been ok of late

22-Dec-06 H Sunderland W 1-0 - good result
26-Dec-06 A Southampton D 1-1 - another good result
30-Dec-06 A Cardiff City D 0-0 - draw away , win at home = play offs
01-Jan-07 H Norwich W 3-1 excellent

Will Taylor go for the win? He's been happy to grind out results in their last 2 away games albeit against much superior opposition in Soton (than Cov btw) and an intimidating trip to Cardiff which is never easy. My guess is with Ipswich and Pymouth both away he will try and get the win to catapult them into 13th and facing in the right direction.

I like their signing of Iffil too , he's effective down the flanks at this level and should give them another option.

so I'm on Palace to rock the Richo , Iffil to score

Palace 3.2 (stan james) 2 pnts

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

Like Colchester as per usual, already on them at 1.935 with Pinnacle (AH -0.5).

That was a good price on Birmingham -1 Daik, best I saw tonight was 1.893 with Pinnacle. I can't really see Birmingham not winning this and the enhanced odds for a more than 1 goal win are worth a go, worst I can see is stakes returned.

I would also take WBA -1 on Friday night, should certainly be able to get above 2.00 on that. Their last 5 homes have seen them go F15 A2 in winning all 5. Luton got a good point at Birmingham but that was their first point on the road after 6 straight losses. I think they will be back to losing ways Friday.

I had considered Southampton -0.75 but they seem to be sneaking wins by small margins so looking at them just for a straight win rather than the AH. Saints -0.75 would only have seen you fully collect 3 times out of 13 this season while Burnley have only fully lost on the +0.75 AH twice. I do think Burnleys current form makes them worth opposing though but it won't be on AH.

Had thoughts about Derby, Sunderland, Hull and Stoke, will do some more digging on them but they are all no bets at the moment.

Btw, RFO has done some over/under analysis this week. Notable figures for the CCC include

Stoke under 61%
Wolves under 70%
Burnley under 61%
Leicester under 63%

Colchester over 63%
Sheff Wed over 67%

Those are for combined homes and aways

Rather bizarrely Wolves are 70% unders in total this season but have yet to have a 0-0 in 27 games! 10 1 goal games, 9 2 goal games.

Sheff Wed are now 8 games since an under.

Lutons games have the highest avg goals per game, 3.0, both Coventry and Wolves avg 2.1 goals per game

Homes only

Birmingham over 62%
Colchester over 77%
Sheff Wed over 64%
Southend over 64%

Southampton under 69%
Sunderland under 69%
Wolves under 69%

Aways only

Southampton over 64%
Cardiff over 64%
Sunderland over 64%
Sheff Wed over 69%
Norwich over 64%
Luton over 69%

Wolves under 77%
Burnley under 77%
Coventry under 64%
Hull under 64%
Southend under 69%

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

In fact just looking at the above over/under stats, Southampton (69% unders at home) v Burnley (77% unders away) looks a stick on under, 1.78 at Pinnacle.

Well spotted, don't know why I didn't check this. Odds for the straight win don't really appeal and with Akinibiyi back at Burnley they could have solved their goal scoring crisis.

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

Derby are really busy on transfer market:

Quote:
Derby are poised to add to the signing of Stephen Pearson with the capture of Wigan midfielder Gary Teale.
The Rams are hoping to tie up the £600,000 capture of Teale which would make the 28-year-old Derby boss Billy Davies' fourth new recruit this month.

The Championship side have already acquired the services of Manchester United's Dave Jones for £1m and Hull's Craig Fagan for £750,000.

Pearson was also signed for £750,000 from Scottish champions Celtic.
Early team news for Saturday:

Quote:
Derby: New signings Craig Fagan and Stephen Pearson will be pushing for a place in boss Billy Davies's squad after arriving this week from Hull City and Celtic respectively.
Dean Leacock should also return after being rested for the FA Cup win against Wrexham while Arturo Lupoli will be hoping to hold on to his place after scoring a hat-trick in the same game.
Paul Boertien remains on the sidelines with his knee injury but otherwise Davies has plenty of options.
I know Owls good away record, but still fancy Derby here.

Davies's squad
Squad - not team. Only an idiot or a raving mad Spaniard would change a team in the form that Derby are in unless forced to by injury, no matter how good the new guys may be. The sight of them on the bench could possibly motivate the current players even more.

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

I'm all over Derby, according to BBC they've just signed Gary Teale from Wigan, who although not blessed with a lot of talent will run and run all day. That's a new midfield they've bought in to help one that was doing alright to start with.

Have to oppose Luton aswell, they've lost 2 (Heikkenen & Edwards) of their more influential players over the past couple of weeks and haven't replaced them. Vine's also expected to sign for Birmingham and he's their main threat up front.

Re: Coca-Cola League Championship: 12/13th Jan

You've really got to fancy WBA very strongly now. Good money but they've only got until the end of January to find replacements.

Sold

Forward : Rowan Vine - 24 league games and 12 goals
Winger : Carlos Edwards - 24 league games and 6 goals

Edwards and Vine have scored 18 of Lutons 35 league goals this season.

Probably Leaving

Defender: Leon Barnett - 27 league games and 2 goals

Recent Injury

Midfield : Markus Heikkinen - 24 league games and 1 goal - Was stretchered off the pitch during the Dec 29th match. Underwent surgery to repair damage to his injured leg.
