Re: Scots 1-2-3 10th Feb

And yourself Kegamn.

Good news on the weather front i would think. Let me go and read pie and bov threads on the same fictures in oct

Partick 3-2 Ross
http://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/lo...hp/t46505.html

Partick are on a bad run. ross are playing well. I aint interested in this one really and havent looked too hard at it. Thistle manager Campbell says-

We will have to do without Derek Young who is suspeneded but being honest this has come at not too bad a time as he has been feeling a little niggle so it has given me the chance to give him a week off and I am sure he will be buzzing come next week. I have a strong squad to choose from with only Craig Sives missing along with Derek and I know exactly the team that will go into battle tomorrow."

Ross even without Gardyne have attacking options in Shields and Williams (who seems over weight and aint scoring) Oh i see Ross have got in another Celtic kid in Carroll

His experience of playing alongside Gardyne at Celtic should help them to build a partnership quickly, but having linked up well with fellow January arrival Shields in their first full game (the 4-2 victory at Clyde) there should now be a healthy competition for place up front

Aye i don't think i would put anyone off backing Ross. I suppose the 5/2 is about right but it could look pretty big come 4:45 (or 4:39 in scotland ) I think it will be a draw mind. Lemme look at Partick's home form as i always just disregard it as being shite. Actually it isnt as bad as i thought. Theyve scored in every game. Nah im giving up on this. I might...nope NO BET

Actually i might have an interest in Ross. Infact i will. No..

Sod it im gonna watch these highlights from the last time ross went to Partick and grab a coffee

Im using my new Avant browser
http://www.avantbrowser.com/ makes life easy for mornings like these with its split screens etc.

Ross 2 new continental signings-

As the final hours of January ticked away, Ross County secured the services of two players. 22 year old Italian Goalkeeper Matieo Tomei and Malik Rezgane, a 19 year old French Striker, both arrived at Victoria Park from Serie B outfit Triestina. The pair impressed during trials, and both featured in a bounce game against Lossiemouth earlier this week which County won 4-1 thanks to a free-kick from Hugh Robertson and a Craig Gunn Hat-trick.

I'm pretty sure they'll notice a climate change. Standing in a cold pitch in glasgow with people calling you 'a wee jobby' might take some getting used too.

EDIT:sorry that post got a bit mixed up.

Re: Scots 1-2-3 10th Feb

I think the important thing to take from that video clip is Scott 'boab' McCulloch's hatrick for thistle whilst playing at left back. It just shows his influence. He's at stenhousemuir now and he leads from the front and will do a job for Stenhousemuir as all the scot's 1-2-3 regulars have mentioned.

Re: Scots 1-2-3 10th Feb

Dundee 1-1 St Johnstone
http://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/lo...hp/t46504.html

Initial thought to me was the draw again. then i thought Dundee are picking up and are traditionally ok at home and have won their last 5 on the bounce. Actually St Johnstone havent won in their last 8 away league games. Not good for punters that like to take them away. Costly

Our away form in the league is dreadful, although the performances haven't always been as bad. We should have won at Dingwall in November and NDP in December and the Livingston game last month became a lottery of which defender would slip on his arse in the conditions and unfortunately for us is was Allan McManus. We seem to have had a real shortage of away games in recent months though. Our away form in the cups has been much better and at least that shows we can play away from McDiarmid.

from st j fan pie and bovril

Nah i'm baling out early on this game and gonna grab breakfast

Re: Scots 1-2-3 10th Feb

Cheers,

I was keen on Raith, pitty its off.
Acctually I am on trumendous run in scotish lower thanks to you guys. I think that from last 15 picks 13 or 14 came in with odds above evens.

I see that none of you is realy keen on Queen of South today. For me that was the pick of the week, and have hoped tht some from you will bite on this one as well. Bad news are that Hamilton have some players back for today game, but with all those signings Queen have made I will have something from those 3,85.

Will also have something from Montrose at realy juicy odds. According to team news Berwick is hit with injuries andsuspentions.

Cheerrs, thanks and good luck.

Re: Scots 1-2-3 10th Feb

Actually while im waiting for my microwave Balti (with nan) to cook im gonna have a wee peruse of the bookmakers odds. I havent had a chance all year due to be stuck with just betfair. I'm back to the online bookmakers so thats why i'm so chipper this morning. I dont even care that no one posts.

Livingston 8/5 with bet365 i could like that. I wonder if Clyde did get a few new players in as expected after losing some good players.

Im glad i got evens on alloa seeing as their odds on elsewhere. I belive Brown will be out but theyve got some coming back. Looks interesting. Brechin 9/2 ladbrokes. I think its a big price but i think it possibly could be rightly so. Peterhead 11/20 with bet365 thats a shocking price. Forfar missing two good players. Sod it i might go jump on peterhead at betfair even without looking into it all. stenhousemuir at 12/5 i might take some more of but i really ned to look at that one. I could be a mug

Montrose ht/ft at 14/1 with betfair looks massive to me. Berwick's injuries and suspensions starting to take their toll and Montrose could suddenly start to look something like the team we all expected this season with their pre season 'big money' signings. Need to look but i'm def for more montrose possibly.

For some reason i thought East Fife was off but it aint. I'll read up the thread about this one too. I like Eats fife at home. Aye i do that. 4/1 ht/ft They should have went in at the break leading in a few games of late. Nicholas and co could be up for this one. East Stirling at 10/3 bet365 i like the look of too

If things go to plan i'm gonna be loaded

In the live betting forum these days brimson. I would prefer if you made a contribution on the relevant league thread though instead of just posting up unsolicited tips on that crappy Place your bets thread brimson

Hamilton 1-1 QOS
http://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/lo...hp/t46516.html

Accies had a few out that day. They seem to be getting back to having all their experinced players back today though

Accies head into the visit of Queen of the South boosted by the return from injury of several key players. Amongst these is Tom Parratt (left), who will return at right back in place of the suspended Marvyn Wilson. In addition, Derek Fleming is likely to return at left back with Kevin Sharp having played his final game for the club at Almondvale. Scott Tunbridge will also be in the squad, having recovered from his troublesome knee injury.
http://www.acciesfc.co.uk/home/

Hamilton's home form on their plastic turf worries me though. Theyve only lost once at home all season and Partick were a bit fortunate that day and Hamilton had injury problems. QOS though have done ok in games v Hamilton this season and theyve added well in the transfer window. I think i'm gonna take QOS + something. I think their worth at least a point. These 2 teams have met 6 times in the past year and QOS are unbeaten in all 6 of them and all six games have finished under 2.5. QOS have been backed in this week and i can see why.

Re: Scots 1-2-3 10th Feb

Sportingodds have Queens of the South Draw No Bet at 2.85. I think i'll chance some on that. I need to fund my sportingodds account anyhow for the wednesday night dailypunt/sporting odds poker tournements. I presume i can still enter even though i missed the first week. If so all welcome. See poker forum for more details

Ive been waiting for a new bank card coming for ages after i reported the last one lost to stop all the direct debits i had coming out. www.britlove.co.uk is just paying me well

Lets have a look in Sportingodds while im in. They usually offer some extra options in Scotland. I can't get money in my gamebooker account for their great markets teams to score etc) bah sportingodds has gone down for me. Clyde whilst losing 3 players still look ok on paer when you see their team. Livingston though i think are capable of better and they looked ok v Hamilton before being mugged at the end. Golabek from Inverness should be a good signing. Im going to have them but i wouldnt be suprised if anything happens.

bah stenny off

Re: Scots 1-2-3 10th Feb

Alloa 1-1 Stranraer
http://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/lo...hp/t46365.html

I'm still hankering hopes that Alloa could be a good thing today. Team news on first glance doesnt seem to suggest this though

Quote:
Alloa Athletic v Stranraer
Alloa will be without the suspended John Grant, while Ross Hamilton is injured with a groin strain. Graeme Brown is recovering from a knee operation, but both he and John Ovenstone will not be fit for the visit of Stranraer.

Stranraer boss Gerry Britton is boosted by the return of defender Robert Walker, striker Kenny Wright and midfielder Andy Gibson.
The under 2.5 looks the bet i think. Reading this on the Wee County News from Alloa Manager Allan Maitland-

Quote:
“They are good games to win and we have ambition to win them but I think it is more important we don’t lose them so I will be looking for a disciplined display.”
Maybe he'll be happy to play it tight. It would be hard for them not to score v Stranraer's woefull defence mind. Stranraer aint scoring themselves (0 in last 4) Is Moore playing anyone? I can't think who Alloa will have up front for them. Im sure their recent goals have been Browns who's injured. I better go check all this.

After a coffee.

Nah it was Grant that scored 2 of alloa's goals at Brechin and he's suspended as mentioned. Anyone know the best price on the unders? oddschecker isnt much good at that.

Re: Scots 1-2-3 10th Feb

Sorry Johnny and Brimson i missed your posts there. I would have been on all 3 of your picks this week Johnny and im still gonna be on your 2. QOS DNB i think to be safe and Montrose should give us a bit of value. Losing Raith and Stenhousemuir hasnt helped but i think there could be still 2 or 3 good things today.

I'm just encoding a video clip so i can't leave this screen for now. Feel free to join my free youtube video chart competition. See General Chat forum for more detail. All welcome.

Right where were we? alloa. Looks like theyve tried to sort their lack of strikers problem by bringing 2 in which sounds snsible to me. Theyve got some tall peter crouch type beanpole figure and possibly Steve thompson. Im sure i read Thompson went somewhere. I thought it was div 3. I'll soon find out anyhow. More here
http://www.alloasupporters.org.uk/fo...p?TOPIC_ID=434

I think i'll wait till after 2pm and listen to Stranraer's local radio for team info on this one before getting involved.

Peterhead ht/ft at 7/4 Paddy Power i am considering too
