Christian - you may have inadvertingly done me a massive favour by sticking down your support of City to win this one on the "mid-week bets thread".
I'm a City fan (as most of you know) and just checked the website and forum before replying.
What I found was very disturbing from a fan's point of view, but gold IMO for a punter.
City have been dire all season so far and been outplayed by majority of the teams faced - home and away. The weekend's bore draw against the mighty Blackpool was an improvement but still a long way off of the standard expected from the caliber of players assembled.
However, one thing ex-manager Tinnion never got sorted out is cover for our goalkeeper Steve Phillips - whose kept us in many games and got voted into the league 11 a few seasons ago. He's played just over 150 consecutive games for us.
Tonight his missus is expecting a baby and although it's not been confirmed that he's out he has to travel independently if he's going to play. So it's looking like the untried loanee wee

have from Tottenham will be thrust into the deep end.
That's not all. Our best defender Heywood is having a late fitness check after coming off injured on Saturday. Another first-team defender Louis Carey is also out. Our best striker Steve Brooker is still injured. The midfield is still devoid of any vision and the strikers aren't scoring.
I expected to see Forest priced up at 4/6 before the latest injury / maternity news. Imagine my surprise when I saw the 10/11 currently on offer...
I'm going to wait to check if Heywood and Phillips are definitely out. if it wasn't my team I'd be having a sizeable bet. As it is i'll be having a few points - just enough so that they'll draw I'll be happy at loosing the money. Relatively.
