Re: Weekend Non-league

I must admit my attention has been fixated on the FA Trophy but I will turn the eye of AMP on the no-league action for a moment in an effort to sort the orcs from the ents.

Southport look a nice price to do Altrincham at home. Altrincham relying on getting bodies behind the ball and have score just 3 times in the last 6. Southport are finding their feet a bit now and have just the one defeat in the last five. Low scoring draw saver if that's your style. Actually even though I'm not a fan of the bet the under is available at 1.94 on Betfair and that's not bad value seeing as Altrincham have scored just 3 times in the last eight...

Aldershot are looking a nice price to beat floundering Kiddeminster now they're getting some confidence and injured players back. I'll just check Betfair.....Nothing doing.

Unbeaten Grays looked nailed on to heap more misery on Scarboro and I'll keep them in mind for doubling with something as I work my way down through these league.

Moving on to the North the 'Vics look good value at 1.85 to do away with Worcester - bottom of the form guide against top here and sorry Worcester have scored just 5 times in the last 6 compared to the freescoring Vics 23. They've also lost their last two home games and if it wasn't for the Cup I'd be tempted to have a medium sized single on that one.

Moving on to the South I think Farnboro are overpriced at 5/2 at Histon. Boro have some good results of late and whilst Histon are riding high in the league they've been getting results without particulary playing well. Plus they failed to beat Carlshalton away last time which cost me some money!!!!

Another recent let-down Yeading should overturn the poor from Newport County for the nice price of 11/8 when Evens would be more of a fair price.

If you're into getting some form of revenge out of Eastbourne Boro then backing against them ar Weymouth could be the way forward. Boro really struggled to beat injury hit Chelmsford from the league below and although decidely dodgy away the terra's are strong at home now and starting to gel. A terrible price but if a short odds home double is your price I'd be confident in Weymouth and Grays at a combined odds of 2.16.

Anyone having a bet in these sections?

Northwich.

For no other reason than they don't seem to have any injury problems. Oh and this.

Re: Weekend Non-league

Sorry about not sticking these up earlier AMP, Im on a backwards clock at the moment and was in bed all day

I agree with the boys, Northwich look very nice odds and worth taking on to continue their steamroller on the naughy north.

Vague pattern I noticed on their opponents Worcesters games....

The only team theyve beaten is Gainsborough.

Theyve drawn against Lancaster, Moor, Workington and Hinckley.

Theyve lost to Hucknall, Harrogate, Droylsden and Kettering.

Thats all their games. Seems like they bottle it against better opposition to me and we know Northwich are the best in this league

Re: Weekend Non-league

I think Thurrock - getting back 2 form - St Albans - despite their top scorer being injured - and Lewes all offer value.

Beware going against Newport County on home turf, however - new manager syndrome. He might or might not have got many new players in yet but I always get caught out when I bet on a new boss to lose his first game!

Re: Weekend Non-league

No worries Komp. I actually decided not to make it a sticky when I started the threads to see how it gets on...besides the welsh thread isn't a sticky weekly so why should the NL one be?

Re: Weekend Non-league

Another Conf North game im going for is KETTERING v Leigh Rmi @ 2.00

Kettering are a pretty tight team and they dont give much away. I like their home form 3-0-1 and they also come off the back of a 4-0 victory against St Albans in the cup. St Albans are 2nd in the Conf South and three of their players were sent off in this game (after Kettering were 4-0 up) because they were so frustrated at Ketterings play I think feelings are good around the club right now with Gazza being named the new manager to work alongside the current one as well set to arrive next week.

Leigh Rmi have lost 2 of their last 3 aways and managed a 4-4 draw with relegation threatened Vauxhall in the other. Since these they have drawn blanks in 2 home games against bottom half opposition.

With bet365 offering EVENS and the 3 other bookies going 10/11, 5/6 and 8/11 I think its safe to say this is a nice single

Re: Weekend Non-league

Nice shout that Muze and I see that a well repsected tipster on another forum has that also. I'll tell you - I will be extremely p!ssed off if both Northwich and Kettering win and all my cup games go down as I've spunked my bank....

Best of luck to you with that one Muze.

Re: Weekend Non-league

Cheers mate and good luck on your Frickley, cos thats a biggie

Believe me I know what it feels like for the big ones to go down. My 3 biggest bets of the season have ALL lost so far, im in decent profit if you dont include those 3

So youll be glad to hear you aint got no money to put on Northwich this weekend cos ive gone 12.5pts on that

Re: Weekend Non-league

Cheers. Think I'm in the same boat The big bets such as Eastbourne have gone down but I seem to claw it back with 2 pointers here (Crawley) and three pointers there (Braintree cup replay). Truth to be told it's fcuking annoying as I think "Why didn't I have more on that one and less on the other" but I suppose thats a problem us Gamblers have to content with on a weekly basis.

It's not all doom and gloom for you though surely Muze? Didn't you Max out on Yate to be beaten not a few weeks back

I'm confident as I can be on the Frickley shout but you never know. I've got the betting equivilant of a national lottery addict at the moment. One team always seems to let me down (not in accies but it's invariably the "big" single) and I seem to make a bit of a loss (which recently has been offset by mid-week wins) or a slight profit. No real blockbusters like last season as yet so every weekend coupon I think "This is the one" only to be disapointed and move on to the next coupon with renewed vigour.

This will be the one though...

AMP

p.s I take it you've see that "Forum Life" thread in GC Well worth a read..

Re: Weekend Non-league

I try not to get involved much in the PL spat tbh honest AMP, I think theres enough people to do that already

Youre not far off with the Chippenham (v yate) bet AMP, they were my 4th biggest bet of the season so far. Pity about the other 3 that were bigger

That Nuneaton one still pisses me off from last week. They win im 1pt in prof for the season (yes 1pt ) but they didnt so im 39pts down. Fcukers!

I vow to be in profit at some point this season though, oh yes

Go Cirencester, Kettering and Northwich (and Frickley )

Re: Weekend Non-league

Wasn't me guv!! Anyway I appear to have taken the same bets as muzeman here - it's the Everton connection I tell ya.

Anyone think Hucknall are worth a second look this weekend? I'd got them on a shortlist, then the NLP goes and suggests them (as part of an away 4 acca which is never gonna work!!!). Their recent form is 5-1-2 against 1-2-5, with their last four aways as 2-0-2 against Worksops home form of 1-2-1...

Re: Weekend Non-league

Don't be suprised if we (Burton Albion) come away from Hereford with at least a point this weekend. Just had our best performance of the season last week and gradually getting the squad fully fit. We also have a decent record against all the top clubs especially Hereford.
