Re: English Premiership 22-23 October
Not too much on Chelsea, 1.44's Betfair and 1.4's doing the rounds elsewhere seems like easy money but too easy , almost like there giving it away, tempted but does anybody else get the feeling its sort of being put on a plate so much so that the bookies are expecting a windfall?
Fair enough its away from home but to quote Komp from the beginning of the season "Chelsea do not lose"! and i'm beginning to agree , i'm tempted to bet large but something inside is telling me not to.

Re: English Premiership 22-23 October
Id price Chelsea 1.25 tops, so the price does have value. Although as ive already stated I believe the true value is in the correct scores

I was looking earlier Slick, something that might be of interest to you.
Over the past 2 seasons I think Chelsea have had 27 away wins, as opposed to 26 home wins. Also, in these 2 seasons, Chelsea both times won 9/10 games away from home against the teams that finished in the bottom half of the league.
Statistically based on that, 1.40-1.44 is a very good bet .GIF)

Re: English Premiership 22-23 October
Sometimes the obvious bets are the best ones. I often look for things that aren't there. Sometimes the bets almost decide themselves and you just have to go with it.
I read something a while back that said often your first hunch/feeling is the one to go with. Over-analysing can be bad.
That said, I'm not sure if Chelsea will win or not Look at it this way though, if this was at Stamford Bridge, they'd be 1/6 probably and shorter in places. This despite them winning more games away than at home and having a terrific away record to the poorer teams. I don't think it matters much if they are home or away, so backing Chelsea in every away game this season at best price would yield a profit I'm sure .GIF)

Re: English Premiership 22-23 October
Villa v Wigan
Barry will drop to left back and Berger will slot in left side mid, a huge loss in creativity imo, as Barry is one of my fav players, and Berger is a highlights player(does 3-4 things a game, missing for the rest)
Bouma and Samuel are big losses, will be interesting and 4.2 for wigan was good value to me

Re: English Premiership 22-23 October
Man Utd v Spurs
I've had the night to reflect on this and I still can't see why Spurs are such a big price. I'm going to be on the away side here for a small stake as I thinks it's cracking value. (See comments above from me and Slick).

Re: English Premiership 22-23 October
True say Slick,
Ive taken spurs:
Spurs @ 6.0 small stakes
Spurs +0.5 @ 2.23 small-medium stakes (just in case of draw)
as i feel spurs can at least get a draw today!
GL all today

Re: English Premiership 22-23 October
Listening to Blackburn/Birmingham on Radio 5 as I post
commentator - "if theres been a worse 21 minutes in the premiership this season I havent seen it"
summariser - "I dont know what to say to be honest"
Alan Green - "its a humdinger. This is terrible, truly awful, in fact pathetic"

Re: English Premiership 22-23 October
Forgive my boast but I need all the cheer I can get b4 we get spanked by Chelsea tomorrow
Quote:
|
I dont see Pompey causing Charlton much trouble and I can see Charlton getting a few chances. Id expect a 1-0, 1-1, 2-1 type scoreline. I certainly dont see what justifies Pompey being judged as very slight favourites for this encounter on bet365s handicap.
|
Charlton 2-1
SO Charlton and Wigan both win away again, amazing stuff :loon
