Re: Midweek Non-League 24-26th

Couldn't see one of these up so i thought i'd have a crack.

My 'non-league eye' is in it's infancy and i'm only really looking at this at all as i've got to check out tomorrows games now as i wont be about tomorrow evening in time.

I've taken Staines (2pts @ evens - StanJames) to beat Chelmsford

Margate looks a bit big, or Fisher looks a bit small, whichever way it is i'm not going to touch it.

I'll see if i can get this eye to focus a bit more later if only to see what a tit i look when the results come in!

Re: Midweek Non-League 24-26th

Yeah, could be dangerous that Komp

Just a note that B365 have priced up some games that will not be taking place due to FA Cup replays; at least one is that Tiverton will be hosting Nuneaton on the 25th and not playing Yate on th 26th.

As far as picks go, I'd also pencilled in Staines as they seem to be very much an away side, but I have my doubts because of the form of the home side and comments to this effect on another forum. Chelmsford have an average league record, but have performed admirably these last few weeks. They held Nuneaton Boro from the Conf. North in the FA Cup away and at home and only lost the replay in extra time. They won 6-0 in the FA Trophy against Horsham, who whilst a division belwo (Ryman 1) are sat 3rd compared to Chelmsford being the in the relegation places. Reports on these matches has praised Chelmsford so maybe the cups have given them a bit of confidence back which they took into the weekend game and won 1-0 away. I think I'd prefer to see odds of more than evens to even think about taking this one - but good luck with your pick

Now I need to away and look at more games, team news, and forums, etc.

Where's the Non League professionals? Still celebrating after the weekend coup on York and one or two others?

I've had no spare time so far today but I hope to do some research later today at least...

Re: Midweek Non-League 24-26th

Nah - I'm flu'd up.

It looks like the first midweek in a long time that I might not be having a bet. I've gone through the fixtures a couple of times and norhing really stands out. I'm still debating the 2.1 offered on Hereford in the replay at Alfreton as apparently their keeper had a blinder and Hereford's finishing was woeful.

Skybet go 1.72, Bet 365 evens and I wrekon a price around the 1.9 mark would be fair so whilst I'm attracted to the 2.1 something is putting me off.

It looks like I'll be taking a back seat this mid-week

Re: Midweek Non-League 24-26th

first odd I'd like to refute the "Expert" tag as I forgot to in my last post...

Anyway - the weekend's coupons out and the game's afoot again - oh yes

I'll going to post up the odds in a minute as I'm still going through it with a fine toothcomb.

Anyway - it's Skybet who have fcuked up so far (Stan James aren't out).

Their website has just made me wait half-an-hour to get my 2 bets on and the maximun online is just 145 - I've heard that they're real tight non-league - anybody know about the telephone levels?

Oh yes - the bets

They've got Welling up at 2.37 to do Maidenhead. Bet365 go a more sensible 1.9 and I'd expect the market to settle at evens.

They've also go Bognor up at 2.25 whilst 365 take a more realistic view, also at 1.9. Newport are improving but 10 losses from 12 games (10 on the bounce and just 4 goals scored during those ten games) is well worth opposing at that price and Bognor are decent.

I'll post up that thread presently. Welling -

Re: Midweek Non-League 24-26th

I'm already on Welling AMP. Can I point you in the direction of the Mangoes at 2.37 at home to Tiverton. That looks enormous or have Tiverton signed Ronaldo?

Anyway erm midweek games to be honest I'm not sure, Braintree v Heybridge looks playable. Braintree have already beaten the Swifts 3-0 on their own patch, they're running into a nice bit of form too. So far this season Heybridge have struggled against the top teams taking 1 point from 4 games against the top 9. Braintree are 6th in the league with games in hand which could see them go second and are coming off the back of a win against runaway leaders Hampton. It looks a decent bet a Evs and one I'll be considering.

Runaway leaders Hampton could be worth investigating too against a Wealdstone side with the second worst defence in the league and barring an opening day of the season win against a Worthing side still getting their act together and a 4-2 win over whipping boys Windsor they've lost every single home game. Again Evs could be interesting but if you're looking for one out of those two I'd favour Braintree.

Weekend threads up and I'm posting "The eye" (need to think of a better name - answers on a postcard..) and betting at the same time. Loving your shouts there Frodo and it's looking like it'll be another 40 pointer week.

Hmmm - Stains go 1 up then let in 3 before half time...

Yep that looks like me retiring in to the background again on this prediction lark

Re: Midweek Non-League 24-26th

Bromley are absolutely huge @ 6/4 to beat AFC Wimbledon at home. Unbeaten in 10 before unluckily losing at home to conference Aldershot in the FA Cup. I'll be going to this match fully expecting a home win, and really I can't believe the odds.

Re: Midweek Non-League 24-26th

Frodo,

Decided to take 3 points on Hampton - for some reason I thought it was a 1.8 best odds but that 2.0 is mighty tempting givien Wealdstone's poor home form. I had to have at least one mid-week bet anyway

Good luck to you and Bromley Dave.
