Re: Coca Cola Championship 1st 2nd NOV

Not my favourite division in the world but i'd rather back that than Champions League.

Brighton/Wolves looks like a 1-1 draw to me from the off. Low scoring dour dull game. I'd usually like Millwall at Burnley. How did Burnley play on the telly the other night? Millwall drawn 5/7. Maybe it is another draw. This is a drawy league aint it?

Crewe are in a bad way but they aint that bad at home. Leeds unbeaten in their last 6 mind. Never beat Crewe last season though. Norwich seem to be in free fall and Cardiff playing ok. I couldnt go near that one mind.

Plymouth v Leicster looks another for the draw brigade. Preston have drawn their last 5 too and Hull aint bad for a draw on their travels. I might try a wee draw perm here at this rate.

Sheffield Utd are 4/5 with Bet365 but 8/13 with Corals.

Holy Hell Reading have started well. Undefeated since the first game of the season. Sheff wed only one defeat in 6 mind. Could nick a draw.

Gills have got a game on Tuesday away to Hartlepool. Will there be a separate thread for that on its own, or can it go in here (it's the only midweek League One game)?

Re: Coca Cola Championship 1st 2nd NOV

It's OK, I'd not posted anything on the Gills anyway, as was ill yesterday.

Only change for Gills compared to the weekend is that Leon Johnson is back from suspension and available for selection tonight. Probably won't play though, as Hope and Cox are both playing again now. Best he can hope for is probably a place on the bench.

Worth noting this is Neale Cooper's first time back at his old club, was Hartlepool manager until the end of last season, before departing in somewhat mysterious circumstances. Seems to be quite well-liked up there still though, and is expecting to get a good reception.

Gills still haven't won away this season, but Hartlepool don't have the best home record (1-4-2). No idea what to expect here really, wouldn't rule the Gills out entirely. No bet for me.

Hartlepool

Defender return boost

Martin Scott welcomes back Michael Nelson against Gillingham but is still without a host of players through injury and suspension. Nelson returns after a three-match ban but fellow defender Ben Clark and midfielder Mark Tinkler remain suspended.
Scott is still without Matty Robson, who remains sidelined with an ankle injury, as well as Carl Jones, who is struggling with a calf problem.

Joel Porter, Adam Boyd and James Brown all remain on the sidelines with knee problems

Defender boost for boss

Gillingham defender Leon Johnson will be back in the side tonight after serving a suspension to ease Neale Cooper's selection worries.
Johnson has served a three-match ban after being sent off in LDV Trophy win over Crawley.
Cooper has a host of injury problems with striker Steve Hislop and midfielder Danny Jackman the latest casualties and they are added to a long list of absent players.

Danny Spiller, Darren Byfield, Paul Shields Brent Sancho Alan Pouton and Jason Brown all remain sidelined
.

Re: Coca Cola Championship 1st 2nd NOV

That report makes it sound like Hislop and Jackman are new injuries, but they were actually injured last week and played no part in our win on Saturday - just in case anyone thought Gillingham's injury problems had got even worse than they were at the weekend .

Re: Coca Cola Championship 1st 2nd NOV

Gills have made one change to Saturday's line-up - Paul Smith out (not even on the bench), Mark Saunders in to replace him. As expected, Leon Johnson goes on the bench replacing Richard Rose, and Craig Stone, one of our upcoming youngsters, is on the bench, replacing Saunders.

Re: Coca Cola Championship 1st 2nd NOV

Plymouth-Leicester is abandoned
Plymouth's game at home to Leicester on Tuesday was abandoned due to a water-logged pitch.
The game was called off by referee Andy Woolmer at half-time with Argyle leading 1-0 thanks to a 27th-minute Nick Chadwick goal.

Chadwick coolly lifted the ball over goalkeeper Rob Douglas after being sent clear - the least Plymouth deserved after dominating the first half.

But Woolmer felt the Home Park pitch was deteriorating and ended the game.
