Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Sat 26th Nov

From the top from me.....

Clyde v Airdrie is a bugger with 2 teams in form. You'd have to have a wee sneak for Clyde to edge it. Possibly not one for me but with a potentially quiet week it could be worth a look.

Brechin put up a good performance v St Mirren and had the best of it v stranraer. Dundee at 4/9 though. I dont know if i could chance them.

Ross County are the form team and going away from home will suit them. They'll have about 20 fans max there but the team is a hard team to beat and they are playing well. I could be tempted on Ross. Best bet so far imo but stilll nothing to get too excited by. St Johnstone i will be taking v Stranraer. End of story on that one.

I dont see any reason why St Mirren cant beat Hamilton at home like they did in a neatural venue in the bells cup final. One to defo consider imo.

Forfar v Partick is a bugger and whilst oreferance is for the away i dont know if i will be getting involved in this one. Raith v Peterhead will be a tricky one. Think Raith's home form is poor whilst Peterhead have too many injuries for my liking.

I think the preferance is usually for the away team in QP v East Fife games. Hard one to call so i might not. Stenhousemuir are an awfull price. Aye all in it looks a bit of a shitty week to me.

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Sat 26th Nov

Well first look and i've got a few that i like, Queen of the South - new manager and all that although this would be a outsider bet. Hamilton at 5/2 is a joke of a price there is vaule on that bet thats for sure, St Mirren didn't impress me when they played Brechin. St Johnstone to beat Stranraer i think but they are a funny side and i can't believe they aint really challanging right up at the top but aint too far away.

Partick - mmm unpredictable although they haven't lost away from home, slight fancy them on that. Gretna no thanks, Raith to get back to winning ways or a Peterhead who has picked up results of late - bit tough that one.

Fancy Queens Park to beat East fife for some reason. Stenhousemuir should beat Montrose but the price is crap is it.

Do a bit of research tomorrow night i think as I've away to a gig on tonight with Half Man Half Biscuit.

Half man half biscuit are still going? Bloody hell ... I remember them singing about Tony Adams and the four men of the apocolypse waving their arms in the air claiming offside ... and wanting a Dukla Prague away shirt.

God knows what they are singing about these days? Ticket prices and Sky TV?

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Sat 26th Nov

I liked the few singles i hear (Trumpton Riots etc) Always been a bit of a Billy Bragg fan. Thatmight have sod all to do with HNHB mi9nd. Ill shut up

15:00 Cowdenbeath (10/3) Draw (11/4) Morton (4/5) 105%
15:00 Dumbarton (2/7) Draw (4/1) Forres Mechanics (7/1) 110%
15:00 Spartans (11/2) Draw (7/2) Berwick (4/11) 111%
15:00 Stirling (2/5) Draw (4/1) Elgin (7/1) 104%

I wazs on the 8/11 on Morton last time so that 4/5 would get a load of my cash. Its with bet365 though and my local Hills go 8/13. Lucky buggers

The break will have done Berwick good and i think i'll be on them ht/ft at 5/6 with Hills. Aye good away and not bad in a cup game.

Dumbarton i still like ht/ft but need to think. Elgin 7/1 (my dream) at Corals. I'd be interested in Arbroath at a shortish price if i can get it. Theyve improved will be after some revenge for not getting the points v ES last time. 5/6 ht/ft with Coral and i could be interested.

Stenny i still cant chance. They really aint playing that well and theyve been scraping wins. Partick im wary of after forfar having such a good home game v Gretna a few games ago. I think forfar are due a bit of luck. I aint getting involved.

If peterhead have a few back then that 19/10 could be big. Raith seem to have lost a bit of spirit about them. Need to read up from their game v ayr the other night. I reckon Raith are vurnerable at home poss. I dunno.

In Div one i have to go against 2 of Milners poss selections and i think i'll prob chance them in a quiet week. Ross County are doing absolutely nothing wrong at the mo and dont mind going away from home. QOS aint the home team they were and one i'll be looking at. Same with St Mirren. Aye Hamilton may have murdered QOS on sat but St Mirren's home record and strength as a team could make me chance them to win a tight top of the table clash.

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Sat 26th Nov

bah baldy betfred only go 4/7 on Morton I cant see bet365's price lasting. Dumbarton 2/7 they go so i could have that with a 8/15 shot for about an even money double. Clyde at 5/6 i could take an interest in. Clyde seem to be moving in the right direction. Mclaren being back etc could give us a few probs.

Will stranraer ruin it for me for the 3rd time running v St Johnstone? I reckon im gonna chance St J as Strarear are not impressing me. St Mirren and Ross i'll probably throw on a line and pray for them not to draw. Quiet wek for me i think. though theres one or 2 things i like.

i'll be on morton even if its the 4/6 in corals (come on Laddies do me a favour)

I'll add berwick/berwick, Clyde, Ross, St Mirren no doubt and just keep stakes quite low. Peterhead im still toying with.

So do I, Komp. I'm wary about getting into anything as I know I'll be disappointed. It's bitterly, bitterly cold this morning and I hear heap um big snow is a coming.

edit: the snow has hit. Bloody heavy it was too. Not looking good in the Tayside region. I'm sure Fife will have the same.

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Sat 26th Nov

Sure it will Mickey. Just sitting in my work (in Edinburgh) and its really coming down heavy here. Don't imagine Fife will be missed out if its snow Tayside and Edinburgh.

Spartans are in Edinburgh so I reckon that could well be off.

In situations like this, even if games end up on, I am always reluctant to get involved due to poor pitch conditions.

Will save myself some time and give the Scottish card a miss this weekend I think.

Guys, what about Gretna, will they step in the game motivated to win by 4-5 goals different,or will they just try to win it without destroying alloa ?

Weather in Aberdeen snow melting to be honest - in fact just looked at the window and its raining. Felt quite warm today although my car said it was 2 degrees but it felt a lot warmer than that - maybe it was my sheepskin jacket!!!

Re: Scot's 1-2-3 Sat 26th Nov

Chova, on paper it should be a massacre but I've been getting a wee bit wary of Alloa suddenly defying the odds and only losing by a goal or two. Surely they can't keep conceding the way they have been? It's incredible. To be honest though, there's nothing to suggest they won't lose heavily yet again and Morton did miss a load of chances against them in their 0-3 win.
