Peter Crouch ended his agonising wait for a goal in style as Liverpool earned their sixth league win in a row.
Crouch thought he had opened the scoring but his deflected shot, which was helped in by Mike Pollitt, was later credited to the Wigan keeper.

I agree that it's officially a GK own goal, but that's clearly not what it should have been.

Re: English Prem 3rd & 4th Dec

Charlton v Man City, sunday 4pm

Charlton home form this season
Charlton 2 Blackburn 3
Charlton 1 man utd 3
Charlton 0 Bolton 1
Charlton 1 Fulham 1
Charlton 2 Spurs 3
Charlton 3 Hartlepool 1 (this was way back on 20th sept)
Charlton 0 Chelsea 2
Charlton 1 Wigan 0

average goals score per home game = 0.8
average goals conceded per home game = 1.7

Man citys away form isnt that much better than Charltons home form admitedly but they have won 2 and drawn 1 (a while back though). I was looking at this and thinking 2 things,
1) Man city are gonna hump them........ or maybe
2) That last home result for Charlton is going to turn it around

then I saw this....
Charlton 2 Man City 2
Man City 4 Charlton 0
Man City 1 Charlton 0
Charlton 0 Man City 3
Charlton 2 Man City 2
Man City 0 Charlton 1

Thats one impressive head to head record.
Thinking about taking man city at 2/1 ish or perhaps on the handicap at just less than 2.00. So what do you guys think, quite liking the look of the handicap bet.

Re: English Prem 3rd & 4th Dec

I reckon thats a pretty good head to head against a side that admittedly started brightly but have lost the last 4 in the league wazik. Thing is neither of them are really pulling up trees at the moment with Man City only taking 4pnts from 15 as well. I dont know what kind of a pointer it is but City played Villa in that run & should really have hammered us more than 3-1, but then last week we beat Charlton 1-0, but horses for causes.
City arent really firing enough to be backed with confidence but theres no way I can see me parting with money on Charlton, so City it probably is, but its a game I wouldnt dream of touching on a saturday where theres more choice.
Charlton have only 2 goals in 4 & City 1 in 3 so under 2.5 might tempt instead, but it doesnt feel like one of those although the stats point to it, if you know what I mean

Its a toughy swoops and two sides out of form and its anyones guess as to who is going to take this one. You could argue the biggest price on offer has the most value and you know Chartlon look so vulnerable at home.

But still its best to be avoided me thinks. If Reyna isnt playing id be worried myself too as we have reallly missed him.

Re: English Prem 3rd & 4th Dec

Charlton v Man City

Tricky one to call but on current form i'm gonna give City the nudge.
City have had a couple of slip ups of late but the main reason for that is that we are struggling to score rather than playing badly.
Joey Barton our most consistant player is back and he's ideal in what should be a scrappy match as he'll go in where it hurts, Reyna should be back also which also givesd City a bit of creativity through the middle, something that has been missing of late as the long ball doesent suit Cole or Vassell.
Will be a bonus having Sinclair back as he was doing well untill his injury but he's been out for a while and i dont know how he'd fare match fitness wise so he'll probably sit on the bench till thge last 20 mins or so.

Chartlon on the other hand have really hit a slump and moral must be very low, Curbishley will have read them the riot act no doubt but whether they will take it in remains to be seen , usually its easier to play away from home when the heat is on , so it will be interestig to see if they take the game to city as if they do it will suit City who can knock the ball about a bit and are swift on the breakaway.

The half ball in citys favour is very tempting but i'll stck with the out right win as we are due a game where we will knock a couple in and Charlton could prove ideal opposition for that as like i've said in the past City do create a lot of chances.

They were 5-0 up on chances before that goal so it looks a good call....Charlton look poor to me, & I'm on the draw

Aye nice one with City guys

I had it on, was 2-1 City. Went away for a shower etc and come back and its 5-2

Turned my power on and off as i thought it was a mistake

Seems like it turned into a cracking game.
