Next Madrid Manager?

Gullitt, R 10/11
Irureta 11/2
Capello, F 13/2
Hitzfeld, O 8
Le Guen, P 10
Benitez, R 12
Eriksson, S 14
Ancellotti, C 14
Scolari, F 16
Hiddink, G 16
Wenger, A 16
Laudrup, M 20
Del Bosque, V 20
Mourinho, J 33

Odds from Bet365

Gullit??? That must be a bad joke surely? Don't think Capello would go mid season for Juve...doesn't seem like Hitzfeld's type of gig. Cenitez and Eriksson have got too much to look forward to to walk away from their sides just now.

Sven was favourite until internet money was plunged on Gullit.

Irureta might fancy a wee change, and Le Guen has the pedigree and is out of work - I'd fancy the next manager to come from that pair, but then again thats mostly just guesswork.

Re: Next Madrid Manager?

I like laudrup here beanie . Look at the sucess Barca have had with their young coach .
Laudruo famously joined Madrid from Barca in '94 . he won the double with Brondby last season . I cant see Gullit , that's like copying Barca word for word , whereas Laudrup being an ex player is something they aint really tried. 20's is worth a nibble

Gullit's now 10/11? Bloody hell, looked at that on Bet365 this morning and saw he was clear favourite at 2/1, and thought that looked quite short.

Re: Next Madrid Manager?

Apparently the Spanish press have no idea why the British bookies have Gullit in as favourite either.

Unless he is going to turn up at Ibrox tomorrow as the new manager, I would fancy Paul Le Guen. Did a great job in 5 years at Lyon, built a good team and challenged well in Europe, especially the last couple of seasons.

The big 3, Capello (won't leave Juve, best team in Italy by a mile, very big chance of CL winners), Mourinho (ditto for Capello) and Benitez (in a very strong position at Liverpool) would be mad to leave good, safe jobs for the madness of potentially 6 months in Madrid.

Redknapp for Pompey! I cant ever touch these manager markets again. What a waste of money! Seemingly some other Spanish coach is keen on job.

Gullit no chance
