Re: Weekend Non League - 17th Dec

An early look (quiet midweek see) towards the weekend can never do any harm and there looks to be some pretty chunky prices around for a lot of sides. Heres a shortlist of potential fancies...

Gainsborough v Nuneaton @ 11/8 (AMP )
Redditch v Harrogate @ 6/5

Basingstoke v Havant @ 5/4

Folkestone v Staines @ 6/5
Leyton v Worthing @5/4
Walton v Braintree @ 11/8

Banbury v Team Bath @ 5/2
Chesham v Gloucester @ 9/5

Wakefield v Burscough @ 11/8

Are those 9 away games I see before me!

Some of the above are dependent somewhat by the midweek action, these being Nuneaton, Havant, Worthing and Braintree - have to take what happens in their fixtures tues/weds into account before backing these imo.

That last one, Burscough, looks a big price to me and Im away to look further into that now as anything against odds seems good let alone 11/8

Re: Weekend Non League - 17th Dec

Agree with most of that and if you hang on until Stan James releases their coupon (lazy fcukers) there shouyld be oooohhhh, about 400 quid to be had on Nuneaton at around 2.5 on Betfair.....

Looked into my boys Burscough yesterday. Farsley are a good side on a good run at the moment and Burscough had injuries and suspensions at the weekend when they went down 3-0 at home and missed a pen at 2-0 down with some way to go.

Emley have lost their way of late and I'll have some of that 11/8 and hope for a bit of WAS's "bouncebackability". I think Wakefield have won one in 6 or something like that.

Really like Havant and your mate Baptiste Muze. basingstoke are "gash" as the Scots say. Gloucester look overpriced but that'll depend on the midweek games I think.

I'll be back later in the week with some write ups / stats.

Looks another good non-league coupon btw.

BTW - who maintains skybets website? fcuking awful as Muze pointed out lumping all the non-leagues and FA comps in one place. The plus side of this is that the oddstracker websites don't pick them up to later so if you're quick you can get some big prices before people realise...

Re: Weekend Non League - 17th Dec

Just something to be aware of before backing Havant - Baptiste got sent off on Saturday (2 yellow cards) so need to check when the suspension starts.

Re: Weekend Non League - 17th Dec

Burscough look decent at that price. The report in NLP on their game against Farsley was not that Burscough were bad or it was any cup hangover, just that Farsley were better and are on a fantastic run. Wakefield were beaten at home by Witton who had had a couple of average results, though now have a couple of loan signings from Crewe. However Burscough should be able to take something from the weekend game IMO too.

Re: Weekend Non League - 17th Dec

Found the pending suspensions list at http://www.thefa.com/thefa/disciplin...pendingplayers. Could be a useful accompanyment to the previously posted active suspension list.

Baptiste doesn't being his suspension until Christmas Eve. Good few suspensions starting on the 17th though in the usual betting divisions.

Re: Weekend Non League - 17th Dec

Taking into account Midweek results, the 6/4 on Bedford at Merthyr could also be good things...

Re: Weekend Non League - 17th Dec

Folkestone Invicta have sold thier top scorer (Jimmy Dryden) last week to a side in a division lower than themselves. This sale involved a straight swap Walid Matata coming in.

Dryden I beleive is/was Folkestone's top scorer for the past couple of seasons. Quite why Dryden has dropped down a level, I can't understand. This Matata has tremendous pace and will frighten the slower defences of the Ryman Prem

Anyone got any ideas as to Staines centre-backs pace or lack of.

Re: Weekend Non League - 17th Dec

Sorry Arfajob I dont know the answer to that question but thats some nice info there nice 1

Surely thats a slight plus if anything for Staines?

Regarding yesterdays games in relation to this weekends betting opportunities...

Havants 2-2draw away to Welling, nothing to be drawn from that as its neither great nor bad though it certainly isnt a negative. The 5/4 against Basingstoke needs consideration.

The Walton v Braintree tie now is very interesting this weekend. Braintree drew 1-1 away to Billericay last night BUT were only denied victory by an 89th min equaliser. Wheras Walton went down 3-2 at home to Worthing and one of their goals was a late consolation. I regard Braintree as good as Worthing so I think the midweek games were a plus in regards to the 11/8 on Braintree at the weekend when looking at it in context.

As just said Worthing won 3-2 away to Walton which is a nice result. You really would expect them to do Leyton and the 5/4 looks easily backable.

The 9/5 on Gloucester could be defo be good things as Chesham lost again and were soundly beaten at home 3-0.

Bedford won away 3-0 as above and more importantly Merthyr compounded their bad form and proved it by going down at home 1-0. Bedford look pretty tasty at 6/4 in respect of this.

Re: Weekend Non League - 17th Dec

I think Braintree should certainly be on the shortlist on the basis of last nights results too. One reason being from what I read on the various forums is that Billericay (and to an extent Braintree) viewed the game as their "cup final" wanting local bragging rights and all that. I think Billericay will have fought 150% to get that equalizer because of the derby nature as much as anything else though I've not read a match report yet.

Re: Weekend Non League - 17th Dec

Agreed Krider. Braintree also missed a penalty at 1-0 up as well they really shoulda beaten em and look worth backing again at 11/8 here.

Re: Weekend Non League - 17th Dec

Not one of the best coupons on Saturday, probably because of no Conference games and a lack of Conf North/South fixtures. I've finally waded my way through them all and have only found three that tempt me...

Nuneaton Borough to bt Gainsborough Trinity @ 2.10
Hampton & Richmond to bt Billericay Town @ 1.57
Marine to bt Matlock Town @ 1.61

Might have the three single bets plus a nice treble that will hopefully set me up nicely for xmas...

Good luck guys

Re: Weekend Non League - 17th Dec

Just gona go through a few bets I have made very late last night...

HAVANT 2 bt Basingstoke @ 5/4 (Skybet)

Havant are second in the Conf South and are certainly one of the better sides. They are very good at home but have been picking up decently on the road as well, winning 4 times.

Basingstoke as have been said in the last few weeks are leaking awfully at the moment letting in 16 in their last 5 games. Theyve actually lost 6 of their last 8 games. Havant are good scorers with good forwards and youd expect them to score a couple here and try and close the gap on Weymouth at the top whilst their away playing in the FA Trophy.

Bet365 and Coral go Evens which is an indicator of value and id agree with their quote.
