Monday 19th Dec - QPR v Coventry

I think there may be some bad blood between a few players tonight by the sounds of their last meeting, Komp. Plus the Coventry manager predicting it won't be one for the purists. over 2.5 cards still looks quite attractive to me. Everything seems to point to the under too Komp but I have a wee feeling we'll see the over come in. No idea why. It's daft really.

edit: I do know why I feel we'll see the over 2.5 - because I fancy the under. Obvious really.

Ok - what about time of first goal after 28th minute @ 1.9 Bet365 could be.... could be.....

Right - I'm on that over 2.5 cards bet @ 1.57 bet365 - it's not something I've ever bet on before but the fact there were 8 yellow and a red the last time they met..... it could end up a quiet one though I suppose. Everything seems to suggest that first goal after 28th min bet could be a goody but football being football a sliced clearance could bounce off 4 players and hit the net. I think I will chance that one though and Skybet's 4.00 for Coventry is long gone. 3.4 now I think - I could still get 3.75 @ coral but I reckon I'll stick with the two bets mentioned above and may the best team win.

I've decided to chance a small bet on
Conventry Asian handicap +1/4 @ 2.00

I do really think Conventry is up for the game, and QPR's supposed lack
of bite up front could prove to be a problem for them. I can feel
a draw coming...

Have to agree with corsair, with the lack of firepower for QPR
and I think Coventry will be up for this game to try and get
their first away win of the season
I am going to have a wee nibble on the away @ 5/2 in Ladbrokes.......

I was finding it impossible to feel confident about either side corsair. QPR never seem to turn pressure into goals and short on strikers but sound like they're playing well enough although a bit shaky at the back. Coventry usually difficult to break down and never really creating much in attack but seemingly confidence is higher after some good home results. It does seem a good draw prospect but I also wouldn't be surprised if either side won by a goal. Having said all that I probably would have chanced Coventry @ 4.00 if it was still available and crossed my fingers.

Good luck though mate. I'm hoping for another bad tempered affair with at least a goal AFTER the 28th minute.

I feel your post is a sign from god, leeside. He's telling me to back Coventry isn't he as your bad run has ended and you're on the up? I'll go see what odds I can get. At least it'll be exciting for a Monday evening.

I just feel either side will cancel each other out and be a draw...
Hence I'm going for conventry +1/4. A wee chance Conventry
might nick it though.

Just looking at Paddy Powers and noticed a few interesting bets

14/5 QPR not to score

4/6 Asian H/cap Coventry +1,
Coventry have a good defence and QPR have a few strikers missing.So its very possible either of these bets will come in.

I think I'll try both with small stakes for an interest bet.

has anyone a link or can copy and paste the article in the sporting life on how recent form doesnt stand for much (or somethging) in games like this? I read it but never took it in. they related it to this game and deducted no bet but i thought it could be worth a look now im sitting. 56k wont let me in Sporting Life site with much ease
