Re: Non League Midweek - 9/10th

A limited card but a card nonetheless

First thoughts are in favour of Halifax, Braintree, Salisbury and Merthyr.

Particularly fancy Braintree at 8/15 at StanJames. Im a fan of Braintree and their home record is awesome at 9-2-0.

Salisbury should batter Cheshunt but Im always wary of these top v bottom match ups, they seem to fcuk up as much as go as expected. They are available at 8/13 with StanJames so best odds for Braintree and Salisbury does provide a tempting double possibly.

Halifax always interest me at odds against when at home and 5/4 is around.

Merthyr may very well be overpriced at 11/5 at Coral considering Mangotsfields injuries and Merthyrs improving form. Other books go 13/8 etc.

Food for thought.

Braintree to beat Bromley 20pts MAX BET @ 1.53 (StanJames)
It's difficult to believe this price to be honest. Bromley are in absolute disarray at the moment, with no league wins since 19 November. Rumours of players falling out, a normally excellent keeper making mistakes, a very small squad seemingly forcing not fully fit players to play, and I can't remember having 5 subs on the bench more than once or twice since the early parts of the season. Three consecutive away defeats, to fairly weak teams - Folkestone, Chelmsford and Redbridge.

Braintree, as MrM mentioned, are 9-2-0 at home, scoring 22 and conceding just 6, and have won the last 6 at home. Just shocked at the price, the 1.33 in the initial post seemed slighty generous, this is just crazy.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, leading scorer for Bromley (by a mile) Nic McDonnel went off injured on Saturday.

Re: Non League Midweek - 9/10th

Was swaying towards a decent single on Braintree earlier and I know your a Bromley lad Dave

Interesting you say theyre players arent fully fit, maybe carrying knocks etc cos Braintree are a very strong, tough team who like to get about and bully opponents which youd think would work even better there now.

Just a note on those 3 teams Bromley played away and lost to. Chelmsford arent a fairly weak side I expect them to be in the promotion push come the end of the season but on the other side of the coin Redbridge arent just a weak side theyre bloody awful! If stinking rotten Redbridge can beat Bromley, Braintree should have no problem and bet365s 1/3 looks around the correct price to me.

Nice tip on Braintree by the looks of it. I wont pretend to know much about non league football.... nah scratch that.... I know NOTHING about non league football... but part of my research is reading tips from people who do. So I wont feel guilty backing them on your say so. Thanks.

Does anyone else get the feeling that StanJames won't be 1.53 for much longer? This is just one of those bets where everyone is going to be trying to get on, by the time of the match I can see Braintree 1.28

I'm on already Dave. I think you're right and I wouldn't be surprised if the odds tumble to about 1.33 at kick off time.

Re: Non League Midweek - 9/10th

I've taken some of Braintree @ 1.53 as well

Also agree with Bromsgrove, Tamworth are still basically team in poor form and i think Accrington will have too much. I've taken the 11/10 @ Skybet (it's as low as 4/6 with WilliamHill! and around 10/11 with most so i reckon it's value if nothing else)

Well you boys have been certainly been busy!

It's great to see and I'll jump on the Bromley band wagon then for a medium wager.

Looked at the coupon last night and the only thing that jumped out at me was Accrington away as I'd look to take anything above evens in that for a small wager.

Re: Non League Midweek - 9/10th

Yeah I do. Any two teams playing with the same first letter and i'm fcuked!

Probably the shock of seeing Gett1in in here but heh - the more the merrier (Did I mention my 7 from 9 above even beauties which came in at the weekend already )

Just to confirm I've had 6 points on BRAINTREE and 3pts on Accie Stanley.

That'll be it as I keep refreshing the skybet screen to find out odds for the weekend / Trophy fixtures but alas no joy. Bed for me.

Night all,
