Re: Non League Midweek 6-8th

I'm on Stafford Rangers to bt Stalybridge Celtic this evening. 1.44 is a short price but a side magnificent at home and in-form, looking for the title against a side low in confidence and struggling at the wrong end of the table is too tempting. Celtic have got Jody Banim suspended too, which is definitely not going to help.

Good luck all...

Re: Non League Midweek 6-8th

I on for bath city but only a small wager for me.

Team Bath looks horrible at home but their away form is pretty decent.
Last 8 away: 4 3 1 14 9 15pts

Im guessing bath city should nick it but I wouldnt rule out a tight game

Worksop v Droylsden2.753.252.20

Droylsden looks pretty consistent in form and have been scoring pretty regularly while worksop looks pretty awful when they're playing the better teams.

Any thots on this one?

Re: Non League Midweek 6-8th

Gravesend vs Hereford

-> Hereford -0,0.5 on the AH

Hereford is turning it on in the conf maintaining their 2nd position. Their away form hasnt been spectacular but against a lacklustre Gravesend I would fancy hereford on the AH (half wager returned in event of a draw).

Well 2.20 for an away team isnt great, but I think you may be right, Worksop aren't great, I would wait until about 5 though as Worksop are trying to get two players in - seemingly on loan - who they seem to rate highly. If they come in I won't be betting on this

Re: Non League Midweek 6-8th

Hi XFX

Both of those look decent enough shouts to me. I wont be betting on either but then again I am a fussy bastard.

Herefords chances are boosted by the fact theat Gravesend top scorer Charlie Mac should be out again. I certainly dont expect them to lose anyway but the draw is a bit of a worry so a handicap bet is probably a sounder proposition.

Droylsden are high scorers youre right. Worksop are getting their arses kicked a lot at the moment so that looks sound enough. Again the draw worries me slightly (Droylsden away rec 4-7-4) and at 6/5 I wouldnt bet it. BUT you can get better than 7/5 on betfair for Droylsden which is a much better price and I wouldnt put anyone off that.

Re: Non League Midweek 6-8th

Well,
I'll take my chances on hereford, their H2H against gravesend looks pretty decent to me.

20th Sep 05
HerefordvGravesend 1-1
18th Dec 04
HerefordvGravesend 1-0
11th Sep 04
GravesendvHereford 1-2
14th Feb 04
GravesendvHereford 2-5
27th Sep 03
HerefordvGravesend 3-3
18th Jan 03
HerefordvGravesend 3-0
24th Aug 02
GravesendvHereford 3-0

Altho I have to admit, past records doesnt really count for lower leagues, at least imho. Maybe I'm just trying to psyche myself up for the game *chuckles*

Droylsden I'll hold it till the loan news is announced. Tks for the input jbgb, mmm.

Re: Non League Midweek 6-8th

Apparently Gravesend were shocking at home last time out against Creepy Crawley, although the visitors did score in the last minute or so.

Before that they only managed a draw with lowly Scarboro and then lost at home to Accrington. So just two points their from six. I've been caught out a few times this season wih the Bulls as they are a bit drawish away (as MrM alludes) but I'm seeing 2.52 on Betfair so I'm going to have a couple of points on that. Loved to hear Kop's thoughts on the game.

Following Cambridge City providing a return against Thurrock last night I'm going to top
up on St Albans, from 3 pts until 5 pts. This doesn't represent an increase in confidence, but reflects my big outright on Weymouth. I want to be paid off part of the stake everytime St A's win (if it looks a reasonable bet ofcourse) and if the dings can muster a draw I'll only be ever so slightly down for the week.

Speaking of topping up Bet365 have some leagues out (not all but I should imagine a weekend non-league thread will be possible later today) and I'm amazed at the 2.0 on offer for Alyesbury against Chesham. In the words of Eric Hall (fcuk he was / is annoying) "Monster, monster" price and I've topped up from 5 to 7 on general principle of not letting that one go unpunished.

Good luck to all having a midweek punt.

Re: Non League Midweek 6-8th

I spent a good few hours last night poking around and I even had a chance to weigh up the evidence on most of the games.

Hereford also stood out for me and I have invested some of last nights profit at the offer at Betfair of 2.56.

Gravesend are having a mediocre spell and have struggled to see off teams from the bottom end of the league. Very few shots are hitting the back of the onion sack as well.

The Kent Messenger reports that they are hoping to have Slatter and Drury back in midfield (can't tell you what difference that will make) but no mention of the forward that Mr M told us about above.

Re: Non League Midweek 6-8th

Worksop latest - Signed Dean Gordon - 33 year old defender formerly of Palace and Middlesborough and Left-winger Andy Wright - 27 former leeds trainee.

This alone has put doubt into my mind about tonights game so no bet for me.

Re: Non League Midweek 6-8th

Quite a few games are being called off now...

Farnboro / Welling game is off

Carlshalton / Eastbourne game is off

Also saw earlier that St A's have been slashed at most books....
