Decent price Edin good luck, I fancy your team a bit on Sat, so make sure you have a easy game tonight no injuries please, 9/2 on Sat v Stenny who strugled to beat Albion last 2 games.

Re: Scottish 2nd & 3rd Div & Scottish Cup 7th & 9th march

Queens Park Website which is excellent for team news:

GOING into tonight's game there has been some improvement to our casualty problems. Selection worries have been alleviated too, as we now welcome back two of our more experienced players.

Both Mick Dunlop and Stevie Reilly have now completed their respective match bans and will be available to play tonight. The two players have been keeping match fit while suspended, therefore, will be able to slot straight back into the side.

It is also possible that we could have club skipper Richard Sinclair back in the side tonight. He has been unavailable lately due to family reasons.

Ross Clark's injury worries following a nasty knock on his knee two weeks ago isn't as bad as first feared. He has since resumed training and will be closely monitored before a decision is made on his inclusion in the side this evening.

Finally, we are still without Andy McGinty (calf), Liam McCann (knee) and Kjartan Finnbogason (foot).

Re: Scottish 2nd & 3rd Div & Scottish Cup 7th & 9th march

Only 2 bets tonight i'm taking Gretna on the handicap of -1.5 and -2.0 at 1.75 from Bet365. Looked at Gretna stats on this and they struggled with this at the start of the season with 4 out of 5 games winning by 1 or drawing and losing. Since then they have won by 2 or more in 6 out of the 7 games - so i'm going 3pts on that. Also a 1pt bet on Queens Park to beat Berwick Rangers, this could be on a draw and thought about laying it as Berwick to lay are over evens on betfair which is a fair price, notice someone got 6.0 on betfair with Queens Park!!! now down to 4.3 booooooooooooooo. So 7/2 for 1pt on queens park

Just thought the price was out of line their. 7/2 with queens park getting their suspended players back and also people on pie and bovril saying Berwick are not the team they was at the start of the season i thought it was a good punt. If buttmonkey thread had more than 4 games on it was a 3pts with Forfar and Dundee with the draw as my 1pt and Cowdenbeath as 5pts - but i decided to cover my Gretna bet with it instead.

non biased report.... i'll try

1st off, terrible pitch making it impossible for any sort of decent passing game.

our "striker" reilly missed an open goal from 2 yards after about 20 minutes (the 1st real chance in the game). great run down the wing by swankie, knocked past the keeper and reilly sand-wedged it over the bar... may have bobbled before him, but shouldn't be missing from there.

albions only decent chance in the 1st half was 1 on 1 with Peat, who saved well when trying to be rounded.

our 1st goal was a goalkeeping farce, shot from 25 yards, no real power but bounced before the keeper and (somehow!?!?!) he let it slip thru him.

2nd half albion came out fighting. great cross in, free header rocketed in from 6 yards out and peat made an AMAZING instinct save, low to his right.

albion did have a few other half-chances, goalmouth scrambles that didn't pay off.

our 2nd was a cross that came in, greggy miller 1 on 1 with the keeper, chests it down, tries to blast it home - total scuff, rolls along the ground to mcmullen who taps it home

albion later had a deflected freekick that hit the post (not sure if peat got a touch) and they couldnt finish the rebound.

all in all, we rode our luck a little, with the conditions not making it decent viewing.

interesting point to note, our winger stein, a player who is one of the best on the team when he is on his game, was on the bench. rumours were that he was dropped after shouting abuse to an arbroath supporter in the crowd that was criticising him, who turned out to be the bloke that pumps money in the club to sponsor him hopefully he'll be back on saturday, and not taking a strop!

oh, also, swankie has the potential to be a great striker, but has been a lazy bastard since he signed on loan. he usually ups his game for the bigger matches, so lets hope he is beter against stenny.

no injury worries, but we will need to play better than this to beat stenny

*breathe*

Re: Scottish 2nd & 3rd Div & Scottish Cup 7th & 9th march

Good stuff Edin and thanks for the Edin Match Report. I had your guys kinda penciled in as a poss on sat but from what your saying about last nights performance i dont have much confidence v the league leaders. Papers said Albion had plenty enough possession without creating much.

How did QP play Milners? I heard Berwick had their chances to win it. Ive my eye on QP at the mo as i still dont rate them at the mo. I hope Danq took them as mentioned mind. Good going if so. I really still dont rate Berwick at home at the mo either. Cowdenbeath coming on sat with Mixxo's (??) last game befoire going back to Jaro (finland?)

how come you have upset the library women komp????!!!!!
Me and her had a wee fall out Bromsgrove as she said that my girlfriend would have to wait with me as i used the computer and she couldnt leave. I asked about joining but because i wasnt a resident in Livingston i couldnt. She basically said fcuk off to me. I wanted a peek at the thread and the odds and the girl had left her expensive dog tied up outside and wasnt for hanging about. I was just on then off. I was planning a wee sit to get me out the road.

Anyhow good luck if your getting involved tomorrow (thur). I cant get involved. Lifes just too weird

Going with reports it looks like Berwick was slighty the better side with better chances but i've been reading a lot about Berwick not being impressive for awhile so i thought 7/2 was good value for a Queens Park side that before injuries and suspensions was on a fantastic run. That result kind of put me off Cowdenbeath on saturday now!!! lol

Re: Scottish 2nd & 3rd Div & Scottish Cup 7th & 9th march

Layed Berwick last night at 4/5 thought it would be tight , I might bet Queens again at 6/5 Ladbrokes, seen them at Hampden a few times, and they are not bad on a good surface they try to pass a bit , good result should help confidence also near back to full strength. Others that interest me Alloa 11/4 big price , I think Forfar have 2 suspended, only downside is Tosh returning to fitness still good price, as I said in a other thread have already backed Stirling at 11 /10 . Dont think Arbroath are a 9/2 shot, this looks tighter to me , also some Stenny fans a bit worried about this as well last2 games v A Rovers were not convincing at all.

Soz Milners i thought i read you were going to the game. thought you were there. Thanks mind.

Will Cumming's be playing at the back for Elgin Danq? I read about him due down to England for some trials. Shit im still on the wrong thread.

I never knew Hamilton were 2-1 (Betdirect and Paddy Power) Im gonna have a look at saturday's reports and if Dundee were anywhere near full strength then i might be interested in Hamilton due to the style in which they won and with a load of kids in.

No i was going to be going to the Forfar game if it was on but it was postponed and also watch Aberdeen Reserves against Celtic if they was playing at Airdire ground which was to get off my list but the game ended up being at Parkhead so obviously i never went. I would be mad to go and watch Berwick Rangers and travel from Aberdeen!!!

Might take in a few games during the midweek either Forfar vs Raith Rovers or maybe Arbroath vs Queens Park - depending on prices and what i'm backing or i might just go and watch Forfar vs Raith on research purpuses.

Re: Scottish 2nd & 3rd Div & Scottish Cup 7th & 9th march

Watching the game live on Sky now after the drivel of the Boro game.

Must say i haven't seen a side dominated in the air as much as this Hamilton side have been dominated by Dundee.

Been a decent game though and have been very impressed with Dundee. Quite like the strikeforce they have there and they have looked a threat almost every attack.

If they play like this most weeks then i will be starting to follow Dundee i think.
