Re: CC League One 10th-11th March

Bristol City @ 2.50 - MkDons aren't picking points up, and whilst Bristol City have been poor i think they will get a needed win away from home
Doncaster @ 1.80 - Port Vale looked a poor team when they visited Chesterfield, Doncaster are a quality team who need to start winning again
Nottm Forest @ 1.61 - The revival has started and they should go on a run which won't be stopped by the Gills
And for Value Chesterfield @ 3.20 - Gotta have a small bet, we were very poor at the weekend but we are capable of doing the 'Mere over.

Re: CC League One 10th-11th March

I could follow you with Bristol Cityt jbg. Aye i could that. Anyone not see value in Bristol City at 6/4? I could have a wee dabble with you on your Chesterfirld too jbg. Draw an obvious worry but with your away record and Tranmere winning one in their last 5 at home makes me interested. Unless ladbrokes comes up with 2/1+ i probably wont take it. I cant get 2/1 in high street.

Good luck whatever you take jbg. still a long way till saturday. Anything can happen from now toill then. I got a dog to clap to calm me down and make life seem great and it seems to be working. Their a lot of work though aint they?

Re: CC League One 10th-11th March

Can't see any reason not to back Forest. Gills are absolutely toothless when Byfield is out, and he's out suspended this weekend. Neil Harris is also suspended. Forest to win to nil may be of more interest to those who prefer longer odds. 6/4 on that with Bet365. Will put team news up later in the week.

Re: CC League One 10th-11th March

I'm with Jbgb007uk on Donnie Rovers to bt Port Vale.

Doncaster are steadily rising up the league, currently sitting in 9th position having not lost since 4th Feb, some 6 matches ago. Pretty good at home, they don't concede many goals at all.

Port Vale, on the other hand, lost to Scunthorpe a week ago and haven't been playing at all well by any stretch of the imagination. Not the worst side on their travels.

Donnie have no suspension worries whilst Jason Talbot is missing for the visitors. Kevin Horlock and David Wheater are available still, after extending their respective loan deals but Michael McIndoe will be missing, after joining Derby on loan yesterday. Sam Togwell is in contention for Vale.

Re: CC League One 10th-11th March

Swansea are a good bet too against a less than average Warsaw, the issues at walsall haven't left even though Merson has, I can't see them stopping Trundle for a full 90 mins, and hopefully Swansea's defence is beginning to sort itself out at last.

Re: CC League One 10th-11th March

jbg once again we think the same.

I picked up 2.9 on Bristol City yesterday at betfair (currently 2.86).

WTF is that about??? Dons admitedly are on a good run at home but are bottom. City are also on a good run. Beat them there in a "Tinnion v Wilson" grudge match toward the end of last season with Lita scoring the winner if I remember rightly.

Going to be now so will be back with team news but apparently (and handicap man will know better than me) or new centre back loan signing is meant to be mustard and the defense is looking in much better shape.

Gotta go,

Night

Re: CC League One 10th-11th March

Forest - my team.

They have been SOOOOO lucky to get 4 points from their two away games under their caretaker team. The other game under their stewardship was at home and ended 7-1 against Swindon who were truly pathetic on the day.

In other words - I just don't go along with all this revival talk quite yet. And I certainly wont be backing Forest at 1.61 against anyone.

PS - Forest Vs Gillingham games tend to be quite tight affairs as well.

By the way. Nicky Southall has been inspirational for Forest during their recent mini run of 'form'.

He's out for a month.

I just went to Soccerbase with the intention of getting the stats to disprove that, and found that, well, I can't disprove it . The 3-1s and 4-1s were stuck in my head, drowning out all the closer games. Was surprised at how good a record Gills have got at Forest lately

Last meeting before that was in 1961. You could also make a case for Gillingham having a grudge to settle against Forest, who condemned us to relegation on the last day of last season with a late equaliser. Mind you, we've already played them at home this season, and there was no avenging going on there, that's for sure .

Regardless of the above, though, I still can't see where a Gillingham goal is going to come from with Byfield and Harris both missing. I believe Jarvis is back in contention, and he's a good attacking player, but has been out for a couple of months or so now, and so won't be fully match fit.

If you don't fancy Forest to win, maybe Forest to keep a clean sheet at evens is a better option.

Depressingly, this thread has also just reminded me that it's now some 14 months since I last saw the Gills (in the 2-1 home win v Forest in November 2004).

There's something strange going on when Nicky Southall can score a hat-trick. . He didn't score that many for us, although when he did they tended to be goal of the season contenders.

I still make Forest favourites RC - but 1.61 is laughable.

Agree with Gett1in. 1.61 - fcuk that - although they did give a very good account of themselves away to Bristol City last time out and we were indebted to the samba brilliance of Basso at times. Apparently (though the match reports / forums didn't quite describe it with my penache.... )

Re: CC League One 10th-11th March

aye good stuff Gettin of Loxley and good to see you.

Anyone fancy Huddersfield? Hartlepol look to have trouble winning games to me and Huddersfield know the winning feeling. Away from home and at Hartlepool. They'll be fully awar Brentford have games in hand on them for the 2nd place spot and their season gets serious from here on in i'd say. 6/4 with Stan James. Sounds maybe a bit long to me and i'd be interested in team news etc for a friday night fling.
