New Theme (another thread)

i couldnt get rid if the prob of the background colour showing through in posts on threads (where else you get posts?) so i changed it to black and it kinda works.

Right no more of this from me at least till after the weekend. things needing looked at themewise are-

• Moderator column
• the menu bar (Top Posters etc)
• loads of other things
• mobile & pda skins to add

Oh i'll go look at that mobile thing the now Rick before i forget it for the wweekend. I would say tyhat thats almost essential to us in this day and age

nah Rick this mobie theme aint 'mobile' it looks like a theme you would use if you ran a mobile phone selling business I'll go see what i can find. I saw one for a PDA. Ill see if i can find that again

actually we've an archive that only shows the forum in a non picture text version Rick. I forget how to access it but that could be the best solution.

Mobile test theme installed Rick I'm working on it so as it will automatically detect if someone is connecting with a mobile device an use the mobile theme automatically

I've just tried out the mobile skin Komp and it's pretty good.. It's basic, but thats good becuase that means it's ultra-fast because it's taken out all the pain in the ass slow download bits, so I'm impressed..TDP on the move..Cool..

Slick sorted the PP banner on the default skin, but I don't think its on the others..

The only slightly negative thing I've noticed with the mobile skin is that it doesnt show who the most recent poster is on a thread as it only shows the originator and the thread title therefore you don't know if a new post has been made. However thats minor - the main thing is the speed aspect which it addresses brilliantly

That was me that sorted the pp banner on the default skin Rick. Unless it feel off and slick had to put it back on. Im gonna speak to slick when he comes this morning rick about it as i believe the old skin has a few hacks on it that the new ones dont have. Sort it out thi morning then i can get all aussied up.

I was just wanting to try wind Big Kegman up when he came back. there's The Kegman taken over and everyone loves The Kegman and The Big Kegman will hate him etc and i'll try get an argument out of him etc etc

++ What does this hack do?
This hack replaces the normale moderator column into a column holding a DropDown List with the managers, this makes your forum look better

I'll kkeep looking for alternatives but thats the best so far. Ill need Slick to instal it as i dont ike doing stuff like that.
