It just makes perfect sense to me. kompressaur main forum contributer and into making websites being allowed to do both in the one place. This is shit that i cant and its raged on since April. Can't folks just let me get on with it and help and advise. I'll concern myself with that and getting about the forums and you jut concern yourselves with running a forum whatever colour it is.

Well the place is dead komp so you may as well do as you want.
If you can export the old forum into the new one all the better but if not then so be it.

Thanks for the reply Keem. Ive officially 'just packed in TDP' tonight. I cant go on like this. I need to work with things that i know and i cant leave us 'just to be a forum' I need to use my time online wisely and it aint gonna be trying to help a struggling forum that didnt want to help itself. Ive learnbt enogh in starting TDP to know how to do things and to make them enjoyable again to me. Yes we can export all the threads, yes we can cleane up the database and delete all the tables and reimport the threads and tables. we cando anything we want infact. Its just some folks dont want that to happen and others dont want to help that happen. Some dont even want to discuss it. I dont know what im doing anymore or why im doing it but i cant do it in this enviroment any longer. TDP the shittest forum forum the net. It takes 5 minutes to get in a thread and twice that to open the fontpage. Look at all the great feaures on the frontpage..oh there's none as none wil bloody go in as the database/server is fcuked. lets just limp along till we die

Its been dead slow and lethargic. Pages loading and the like.
The place is dead as well mind so any changes wouldnt damage anything , infact it might improve things.

I'm just looking at dedicated servers now as we seem to have outgrown all the dedicated plans, if anybody can recommendy any good suppliers then plse let me know.

In the meantime i'll try and tweak things up again but looking at our error logs we should be running along smoothly which we certainly aint.

I've tweaked and twiddled around again so hopefully things are a wee bit faster.

Loads of dedicated server sites to look at, didnt realise there was so many and i'll have to review them all.

be good to get our own server with a bit of oomph to keep the big fella joomling and if possible even get our own games server up and running for the rest of us.

Right i've got a few things down on paper now and left them in management for the lads to see, if they give me the ok we could be up and running with our own server within a week or so, so plse bear with any slowness that is occurring.

I've also tidied up a few odds and ends on the current server so hopefully that should see us through.
