Right we have the news forums back. These can either be placed behind a NEWS tab or else and possibly more preferably to me under the relevant sports tab

it is that Dan. Fcuk im doing too much again. Im away to make the new forums hidden for now. No point in having them hanging about. one step at a time kompy boy. Ive to redo the frontpage specialling in sports betting, make the poker.thedailypunt.com be specialising in poker and god knows what else.

Righty slicks been working hard all night and we're starting to get it together. a bit. ys the style of them hasnt been looked at and they are all very rough. We need to look at the best way to implement all the forums before continuing. http://www.thedailypunt.com/forum/in...php?styleid=88

If you care and have a thought then let us know. The buttons WILL be smaller and more suited to the forum design

the only tabs i really think i know about are -

OTHER SPORTS - Add alll the Baseball and Motor sports forums etc

POKER - Spilt poker up a bit and add a few differant sections to it to break it up. In effect we could have a whole poker forum in there just as a poker forum would have

it will be ODM. Dont worry about looks the now. Aye we keep the main forum as it is (maybe cut down to size (ie put all the gen chat and media forums under one tab) The stats box actually makes it work not quite as well as it should. Still lots of tweaking to be done but we cant do anything till we have worked out a structure. Basically this lets people get to the forums that hey visit quicker and it allows us to have as many forums as we like

k so now we need to look at whats gonna be what. American Sports forum or one for each sport?

Slick i was anticipating just having the Sports betting forums in the Sports Betting Tabs. Tennis etc stay on the main forum as before also and also in the SPORTS BETTING tab. We could then add a new category AMERICAN SPORTS and yes i am suggesting that below that tab we actually do have Baseball, NFL, NHL and errrr Basketball. the rugby forum was a ghost town and it's picking up speed. As mentioned if bookmaker makes up odds on a sport its because people bet on the sport and thus there is an interest in the sport. I think we should give these poeple a chance to have their own forum as the space isnt a problem. Im waiting to hear what engineer and Other sports forum users say though but for now can we remove the football and gambling forums from the SPORTS BETTING Tab as i think we should fill that with SPORTS BETTING forums an the more the merrier imo

I think MEMEBRS AREA can go and everything can go under NON SPORTS for now I would fire in everything that isnt to do with sports or betting

TDP Competitions could just become 'competitions' i'd say. Maybe when we style the buttons a bit better there will be more room

I dont know what the SPORTS TALK people think but ive got a nagging feeling that FOOTBALL BANTER (or similar) would be better actually next to the football forums. I think it would get more folks involved. Maybe have SPORTS TALK seperate somewhere else. Just a thought

Poker seems to need split up a bit into sections. Maybe add a bit of order to it so as we aint talking strategy over the top of Tournie talk etc. An example here
Two Plus Two Forums

You click POKER on TDP and you get......a poker forum. Maybe a poker forum just like OTHER more successfull poker forums. Maybe they know something that we dont. We embrace everything to the full on TDP and we're almost like a blank canvas. We're a compedium of all things gambling related under one roof. We have nothing to fear bar fear itself

My suggestion would be to put all the poker forums in POKER tab. pt all the Non Betting forums (Gen Chat, media, playlists etc) under the NON BETTING tab. This will create a load more space on the MAIN tab and then we can add the extra forums like AMERICAN SPORTS and whatever we may feel. Then we can get rid of the SPORTS BETTING tab

I need some kip komp as i'm fcuked, I'll go with what everyone agrees with, just tell me what categories u want in each tab and what forums go into them categories and i'll get onto it in the morning.

try and get it right first time too as its a lot of pissing about setting them up as if i have to swap any categories over it means changing the tab id for everone of them and the tab id's of the forum in every category, in the script and index.php file.

No probs slick and thanks. If noo one comes forward with any ideas then we will just have to go with mine. I think the POKER and the NON BETTING is a no brainer though. If your here for either of that in the betting forum then you click your preferance. With cookies it wont be a prob or a nag for anyone. clicking there is easier than scrolling down. Best of it is it will allow us to expand both sections and offer more choice and variety to our members. Hopefully i can get it as right as we can for morning slick but truth be told the space that they will free up will let us just keep the MAIN tab as it is with a few extra forums/variety. Truth be told i got 3 hours sleep last night and i got up about 11am or even earlier. Tired but all this is too exciting really
