Hi folks, hi komp

outthere is many forums, doing almost same as we here do. I stuck here cause I like most of personalities I learned here. Dont need to name anyone, I like you all who are posting here for last two years.

Imo there is place to improve and to go other direction than majority forums are going and to be better. Everyone is doing predictions and previews (best you can find are Goal.com or Channel 4 for Italy, PL and BA with LAkini and McFly for Germany...), but there is noone doing serious reviews.For me most important thing in betting world is gettting proper reviews. Any preview is more guesing, but review gives you right picture.What I mean is not stuff that you can find on BBC or Sporting Life, or ESBN, then more deep into motivation, form, aproach to the game home and away. Tradition, rivarlities, pride derbies. Which teams are robbed by referees lately, which played well, but missed chances,........
If we take those stuff serious then you dont need right preview, everyone will come here and look for info, make questions and start discussion.

No your not the only one Johnny and thanks for bringing it up. I want the man in the street to be respected for his betting opinions just as much as some over paid journo at some newspaper. i want folks to get the chance to shine. Posting on forums aint good enough for them and i want them to get as much reward as they can for their efforts. I want to replace all my bloody betfair and bettingzone previews with posts from anyone who walks in off the internet. If theyre good at what they do then they will get the respect that they deserve. there will be plenty of ways on TDP for folks to interact and share their thoughts and the Previews will just be one part of it. if you have any ways you think the previews should go johnny im all ears and you tell me the way you think it should work and i'll help you. Presentation wise its not good at the moment as i havent really started on that yet as there's still one or 2niggly probs on frontpage still that need ironed out. Im all for promoting those that write the previews and give them superstar status on frontpage.

ah so i see what your saying now Johnny. you want more people posting better betting previews. thats cool as thats just what i have in mind too. I think he's talking about the analyis after the event, Komp; 'reviews' and not 'previews'. Match reports sort of broken down and looked at in detail. That was the impression I got anyway. Definitely useful in my opinion.

ah i see Mick i was wondering if i had missed something. I thought Johnny was trying to take the credit for my frontpage/forum preview idea I'll go think more about this Johnny as i try to sleep away being foodless and cigless. As long as it involveds no future work for me im all for something. I suppose i could easily set something up to cater for any match reports etc but sadly it would be down to the masses to dfill it up and you know how hard that could be. Maybe it just needs a slight angle on it. I'll go have a think Johnny as thats what i do instead of masturbation these days.

I am trying to go through footballforum+club forums for english; P&B+ here for scotish; watchin all reviews for german, but at some point I have no time to do that all and lose my strings. There is also not much time left to write impressions.

Whole idea is not a big deal, to cover england, scotland and germany you need about 15-20 football loving folks, which are going through diverse sites, getting info from fans, papers, club sites and write here their impresions.

After we get it rolling, for example small comment will be enough like: "N. Forest again in awaay match didnt show any motivation, but referee gave them penality kick in injury time"

I suggested something similar a while back Johnny where I could simply click a team name and we'd have a forum with all their info, summaries, key players, stats and so on. I'm going to investigate how workable it is to gather all this information. Easy enough allowing people to leave notes and such for each side.

Great idea Mickey. MAybe to stick it to ante post tread for each league, where are all commings and leavings shown, budget, avarage home support from last year, how many supporters travel to away....

Imo we can make information revolution and then go easily around "popular bets".

I know it is bit of work and we need man power (and I am working full time+overtime), but once such thing is rolling., anyone with some info can update.

well i can set it all up nicely soemwhere using the frontpage software that im finally getting my head around. Just tell me what 'fields' you'll be needing on the 'input form' Mick/Johnny. all be pretty easy to achieve. As you say johnny its the getting of the info etc but we can work that out. Im thinking of other things for the next week but i'll help make this happen all i can. Obviously when i think about it im sure i will have something to add etc i just cant think of it. Let me think quickly. So in an ideal world you click 'airdrie' and it has input from fans about who's playing well for them, who's essential for the team and also previous meetings with the opposing teams. we need to work it out so as fans WANT to add this info and to also keep it maintained. aye i think we could do it. Interesting idea johnny and im all for it. I could even make sure i kept on top of the scottish leagues.

English leagues below the Premier League won't be a huge issue as I cover pretty much all of the sides myself each season anyway so leaving notes as I go shouldn't be a problem. It'll beat biro, paper and coffee stains which is where I'm usually at. Obviously people contributing during the course of the season would be mighty awesome.

I was thinkign that you could make it like the racing Post's horse form Mick. 'quotes' and 'reports' etc all in nice wee tabs that folks can add to easily.

Quit it! I had a lengthy discussion about it a couple of years ago damn you! Seemed too much at the time as it would have meant loads of extra forums. Things have changed since then though. Much easier.

oh so you think things are much easier Mick do you? Is all my persistance finally starting to pay off? we could have just stuck with ...ok ok i'll shut up. Keem and i are just suprised that you didnt suggest the frontpage software years ago Ok i'll shut up. things are much easier now Mick. Easier than you even know truth be told. Be even easier when i finish a few things in a the next few days. Once its all done then i will officially state things as being 'done' and i can relax and go get a life. shit im boring myself here. Im away for a shower and then im away to get some smoke on tick just to get me through th next few days hard work.
