Idea for the forum

Further to Komps thread last night I've had an idea.

I don't know how technically feasible it would be as you know I'm a fcukwit when it comes to that.

O.k, T.D.P radio. Never listened to it. Usually when it's Saturday night I listen to a live commentary match of one of my bets or the sound of one of my marbles rolling about when I post.

What are you listening to now / favourite albums threads are very popular.

Would it be possible to do something combining the two? My idea would be that interested members submit playlists to MODs and then on one day it'll be "User KY Jelly" or something's day and you can click on his playlist to listen to when browsing the forum. When a few playlist have been added it would then be possible to have a true "TDP Radio".

What would be great about this is that you can be exposed (ooh err) to new music and feel like you know your fellow members just that little bit better. Though if Seen opts for "Slayer" I wouldn't be surprised We could even have threads commenting on the taste (or lack thereof) of fellow members and it would be good banter slating the Pink loving Christianu.

Again, I don't know of the logistics of this (I'm just thinking on the lines of Pandora or even shared MP3's or something) but I think it would be a good idea if not feasible.

I'll scratch some more earwax out so more daylight can get in and let you know if anything else hits me. Like a brick or something. :loon

it's all pretty easy to do AMP it's more a case of bandwith. im looking into getting audio files stored on free hosting sites AMP and then streaming them from their various sources.

Lemme get theis unsigned-chart.com up and running(hopefully for the weekend) and then i'll start looking into it. I still want to do a Friday night phone in on TDP radio where people can ask for team news etc and we phone people up and get info etc

That sounds good Komp. I was thinking of how you could incorporate Utube aswell. Maybe I can do a "NL" round-up in a mask and a darth vader voice distorter as I don't want to be inudated with love letters. Or death threats.

Ive been trying to get the radio toether for a wee while now AMP as you might have seen. I found out some more info on it as ive been doing www.unsigned-chart.com and it might be within my technical capabilities now. a phone in show would be fun and all live too.

I had this idea at the very start of the forum AMP , I see no reason why folks cant just record some thoughts and then download them to a hosting site for people to download.

i was gonna do a CCC round up every week , and may well do this soon.

it's just like that old file sharing thingy we used to use. i suppose it would work. i dont like the idea of it having to be passwrod protected though. sounds a bit shite. I could run it on my other machine mind. Folks could send me mp3's to play
