Adaware no longer free

Adaware from Lavasoft is no longer a freebie. Anyone know of any decent free alternatives that aren't going to fill my comp with shit?

You sure? I've just checked mine, it told me my configuration was 70 days old, did I want to check for updates. Said yes, it updated it, and everything seems to be as normal. Are you talking about Ad-Aware SE Personal?

Yes. Are you sure it updated properly. Mine told me the updates were old, I updated and it told me there were no new updates available. Next time I launched it it told me again, I tried again, etc etc.

I went to the lavasoft site to reinstall which it did, ran it, then it told me I need to buy it to clear the shit.

I use the free version of SuperAntiSpyware , seems to do the buisness although you have to update manually.

I have downloaded adaware previously and thought I was getting the free version only to get the pro one, its a bit misleading. To get the free version just uninstall the one you downloaded and get this one here.
