areyou getting into hubs with other people in them Foxy? Make sure there are users in the right hand coloum when you enter a hub. If there is and you aint getting any search results in any hubs then either turn your firewall off and try again or go back to this stage



and click PASSIVE and try

search whilst viewing PUBLIC HUBS. Search (filter) - no share

and you might get some hubs with no share limits

Yeah im getting into the hubs with people on the right hand side, but then i click search and it opens another tab and i click search directories and tick the hub box, then nothing.

Whatever happened to Direct Connect program as opposed to DC++. I had it installed but it was doing nothing for me when I last tried and neither was that MoGlo hub search prog I had. The Neo Modus page seems dead and I am sure the hub list doesn't do much either.

I am about to add a 2nd HD for my "share" as well. Between DC and Newsgroups I should have a healthy share soon enough and won't end up having to delete stuff to free up space.

Foxy are you actually searching for something? ie your putting a band name say into the box and searching for that and not just clicking search?

If you are then change to passive and give it a try.

I have a search nickname randomiser thingy Crowie somewhere which searches all the hubs but its a bity it and miss. I usually just try to track down a hub that should have what i want in and then just search there.

Im still only on 15gb hashed so far

Yeah and people say size doesn't matter. The bigger your share the better the hubs you get into are. Also you get some super beefcake hubs that are like huge share and beefcake speed connections only. We mortals have to do without them but there's plenty good ones for us to get tore into.
Don;t bother with fakeshare programs btw, they're easily detected and will just get you banned from tonnes of places. It's a bit of a pain if you have a small hard drive but that's just too bad really, there should still be plenty good hubs available.
