EURO 2008 FINALS - JUNE 2008

Well most of us on this site don't know exactly how much of an interest we'll have in next June's finals but after the disappointment has eased slightly, I'm sure we'll all be watching it nevertheless.

In case you've been on the moon for the last year, and haven't heard, the finals will be held in Austria and Switzerland, kicking off on Saturday 7th June at 6pm (central european time) and finishing on Sunday 29th June with the final at 8.45 pm (central european time).

This is good news for me as I've had most of the month of June off for the major tournements for the last god knows how many years which has required me to take annual leave. This time I won't need to

switzerland to qualify is my early thought

basel stadium, full of fans, roger federer's birthplace! not important factor of course, but i have my own criteria

i expect many upsets, tired players at the end of season, "under" 2.5 goals.will be my favorite bet again

I know it's very early indeed but had to put a post up about Romania to win Group C at next years Euro's alongside Italy France and the Dutch. The 15 you can get for them is to my mind has amazing trading value given the way they played in the qualifiers - they only lost one game to Bulgaria when they had already qualified but more importantly beat the Netherlands at home and took a 0-0 draw in Holland - i just can't see them at 15 shots at all.
