Euro 2008 - Who To Look Out For

As you know i am ignorant to star named football as thats just the way i am. I was gonna ask on the 'whos to win' thread but thought it better to ask here. Who's the names i need to lok out for this Euro 2008? Who's the characters? Who's the young up and coming stars? Who's the next zidane?

I dont know see. Players Like Sonic for Belgium i remember and Stoichkov at Romania. Paulo Rossi, Neeskes (?? naeskins) and Mick Mills. Who should i be looking out for?

Stoichkov in Romania?? Hmmm.. your case is wose than I thought, mate!

I was going to suggest Nassri for the new Zidane, but you probably don't know who he is or whom he's playing for..

Malden Pertic - Striker - Croatia/Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund

On June 11, 2007 Petrić signed for Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund along with fellow national team player Robert Kovac as part of the sides squad rebuilding. He enjoyed a good start to the season, scoring a brace in Dortmund's 3-0 victory against Werder Bremen. He was one of the league's top scorers in his first season in Germany, and also made a notable assistance to his side reaching the DFB-Pokal final in which he scored a stoppage time equalizer against eventual winners and champions Bayern Munich. For Croatia he has 9 goals from 23 apperences

Is he the left mid/winger who played in the last world cup?

If so i remmeber as thinking he loooked a great player and have been surprised he only went as far as Levekusen if its same guy.

I look forward to seeing more of him and how he has developed.

David Villa is the main man to watch out for Komp. Huntelaar, Iniesta a couple others too!

Re: Euro 2008 - Who To Look Out For

i took ballack myself at 9/2 on friday, really hasbeen the best player, has a crackerchance with germany likely to be in the final. Arshavin is tied at 7/2 now on paddy power but he missed the first 2 games which could count against him? Hopefully the russians get knocked out in the semi's to weaken his threat.

There could be plenty of value in Buffon if he has a good game tonight.

Re: Euro 2008 - Who To Look Out For

Surprised by Ballack being that short.

Bar the last 2 games he has come into a game with Portugal being his best. Bar that he has been very poor IMO. He has even come out saying his form has been poor so far and better is to come.

Standout player for me so far has been either Deco or Sneijder for me. Deco has been absolutely superb this competition and shot down the fears he was past it. His creativity and intelligence has been a joy to watch for the Portuguese, same could be said for Sneijder.
