Turkey v Czech Republic - Geneva
We could be in for some high drama in Geneva on Sunday as a draw in this match would trigger a shootout to decide which team progresses to the quarter-finals alongside Portugal.
Neither side will relish that prospect so both will be looking for the win which will send them through.
On the evidence so far, it's hard to pick a winner so there doesn't seem a strong reason why the Czechs are the clear favourites - 5/4 in places while Turkey are 5/2.
Without doubt, the Czech Republic were lucky to nick victory over Switzerland in the opening game and they were eventually overpowered by Portugal after a bright start.
Turkey left it very late against Switzerland after trailing at the break but that confirmed a feeling that Fatih Terim's men never give up and have a collective will to fight to the death.
They look more of a team than the Czechs and that might show itself later in the game when qualification is on the line.
How best to cash in?
A decent option is taking Turkey to win the game in the second half so have a little on the Draw/Turkey HT/FT result - a wager that would have produced plenty of profit during their qualifiers when their togetherness led to several second-half winners.
And if you want to pinpoint a likely Turkish hero, look to Nihat Kahveci.
He came up with the deciding strikes in their final two must-win fixtures in qualification and banged in 18 goals for Villarreal in La Liga this season.
Take him at 11/4 to find the net again.
Verdict: Turkey 2 Czech Republic 1

Re: 15th June: Czech Rep v Turkey
yeah we were lucky against Switzerland, but we played good football against Portugal, I hope Baros will start on the bench tonight and Sverkos with Sionko will be in attack, but what is more important we will play in white jerseys and i don“t know why, but when we have them we always win important games
good is that our performance is going up and I hope we will confirm it today, but I don“t like the odds on us - a little bit low for me

Re: 15th June: Czech Rep v Turkey
I think its gonna be a tight game mord but i do favour the Czechs in it. Do i favour them enough to put money on them? I dunno. Looks like it could be a cracking game.
I was gonna look at a few cards but the ref doesnt seem to like sendign people off

Changes: * Czech coach Karel Brueckner may well start with Jan Koller and Milan Baros in attack. That would mean an end to the 4-5-1 formation with midfielder Tomas Galasek missing out.
* Coach Fatih Terim is expected to keep faith with the team that started the 2-1 win over Switzerland.
Key stats: * Turkey have never beaten Czech Republic, conceding 13 goals in four matches against Sunday's opponents.
* If the match ends in a draw a penalty shootout will take place to decide who goes through -- the first time this method has been used to separate teams at the group stage in a European championship.

Re: 15th June: Czech Rep v Turkey
Have a feeling this game will be quite tight in the early stages. Although both will wanting to go for the win to prevent penalties, sure neither will want to conceed an early goal, so may be in for a cagey start to the game.
Only one of the 4 goals scored by these two have been in the 1st half, and that was a result of Czech being behind by the early goal, which i don't expect Turkey to get...
With both teams pushing for the win in the later stages, my punt on this game will be a goal to occur after the 29th minute @ 11/10, totesport.

Sverkos with Sionko might be a strong beginning for the Czech side...But I still don't understand why the coach still insist on Koller...If Czechs start with Sverkos and Sionko, or Baros (He was better in the second match) up front, I'll be definetly bet on them..
For Turkish side, I am not sure about Terim's mentality, or how will they approach the match..But if we play for a draw, we'll be beaten...Turkish team(S), unlike Italians, are not good at playing for draw...
Should see the starting eleven for Czech side first...Terim'll will field nearly the same 11 of Switzerland match..

Re: 15th June: Czech Rep v Turkey
This game has draw written all over it for me with so much at stake for both sides and the possibility this game could go to Penalties.
Can see a cagey dour affair for the best part of this match unless somebody happens to score.
X marks the spot for me and i reckon we can expect bookings again should the Turks happen to find themselves going behind.
If anybodys going for a result here then i'd have a look @ the 'to qualify for the next round' odds as i have a feeling this may be going to pens.

Re: 15th June: Czech Rep v Turkey
Maybe is no bet the best solution here, but I cannot help myself, decided to watch all games and to bet on all of them. Both teams didnt convinced here, but have feeling that Checzs are rising their game and that turks could have heavy legs after watterball played against Swiss.
Small, Small stakes on Chech.

A word of warning for the Czechs tonight and the possible shoot-out - they have been burned by new rules twice before in European Championships. In 1996 they lost the final to Germany thanks to the competition's first golden goal, from Oliver Bierhoff. In 2004, they were the first team to lose to a silver goal, Traianos Dellas bagging the winner for Greece.
