Some words from me about Levski - Tampere.
Many punters were interested in the first game in Finland. Most of them expected Levski to win, fewer went against the common sence and made good money from Tampere's victory.
In Helsinki Levski played nothing but shite
The result 1:0 is extremely unpleasant and dangerous and everybody is felling a bit uneasy now.
The game was to be played at Levski's "Georgi Asparouhov" stadium, but it has been raining in Bulgaria since the weekend, so the game will take place at the National Stadium "Vasil Levski" - perfect pitch, that is better for the home team I reckon.
For today's game Levski has big problems in the defence - two very important players (Topuzakov and Tomasic) are out due to injuries. The coach has a few alternatives. There will be some chances for the Finnish team to score crucial goal.
So, Levski have to score goals. They have good offensive players, who have not been performing well since the beggining of the season. Anyway, they all know that they can't afford to fail tonight - it will be a total disaster.
Levski would like to score an early goal to break their opponents. But Tampere will try their best not to concede a goal and Levski always have difiiculties against teams like that.
I can see that game going either way...
It could even go to extra time and penalties...
I already placed a risky bet (but I like the odds) - Levski -1.5AH at 2.1, Gamebookers.
I like also Levski ft/ht - 1.80, Paddy Power and over 2.5 at 2.00, BET365.
But my main bet will be over 1.5 goals, first half at 2.65, Expekt.
What I want most is Levski to qualify, but I also want to see all my bets wiining tonight
Rangers played OK at the weekend engineer and will be quietly confident about getting a result tonight. I would have been tempted with 5/6 or there abouts but odds closer to 1/2 I'm not interested in.
McCoist has went on about the heat and how it will be very difficult but even although Rangers stuttered over the line last week I think they should be too strong. Zeta only looked to have one decent player and their composure in front of goal didn't look that good although McGregor had to make a couple of decent saves.
Can anybody confirm what time is the kick-off for the Rangers game. some site 7:30 and others 7:05
Zeta is not from Serbia, but from Montenegro, former member of Union.
Anyway, I'll try to give my opinion about this match.
I can see now that a majority of domestic punters are giving bigger chances Zeta to even win tonight, but I don't share their thoughts.
The best option is to go with Over 2,5 since Zeta must try to score ASAP.
Absence of Novo is a blow for Rangers attacks, but they're capable to score once even without him.
If they do so, the result is no important any more, since Zeta must score 4 to go through.
Impossible.
Another good news for the visitors is that temperature will be no more than 25 degrees.
I choose to take Both teams to score @ 1,80 in local for medium stake.
Soccer - Beitar Jerusalem/FC Kobenhavn - total Over 2 (-147)
for the regulation time held on Aug 7 at 1:15pm [pending]
With the line having dropped to a little less juice, I see this as having a good chance, provided FCK help a bit. This is a small wager, mainly for interest.
Beitar must win to advance, though a 1-0 win in regulation just gets them to extra time. FCK with a goal can all but sew things up, requiring 3 from Beitar...
Here's the scenario I am imagining and hope will play out: Beitar score first, square the match, and both teams press a bit to win in regulation (Beitar) or put the match out of reach (FCK). Remember, even if Beitar go ahead 2-0, FCK can advance by losing 1-2.
The other possibility is that FCK score early. Then Beitar must attack attack attack to try for the 3 they need.
If this one is 0-0 at HT then I probably have lost.
Looking at the team I think Rangers will get a result. The defence looks solid - nothing fancy but should do enuff. If McCulloch keeps the heid and doesn't throw himself about and the speed of Beasely and The Rocket will cause problems.
Still odds too short for punt but I think away win
If that Rangers line-up is confirmed, I wouldn't be rushing to back them at any price to win tonight. I know they've been hit with injuries but it very much looks like it could be 4-5-1, with Ferguson, McCulloch and Beasley trying to support Darcheville on the break.
They'll take a 0-0 or even a 1-0 defeat. If Zeta get an early good it could be an interesting night - however the looked quite impotent last week in front of goal. They had plenty of shots but most were woeful.
Think the Rangers game will be pretty tight tonight, possibly partly because of the supposed heat in Montenegro we'll not want our players running around like nutters and knackering themselves for the weekends game. Smith himself has said that they see 1 goal as enough to kill it off and from his previous record as Gers manager he used to have a good record of getting away wins this way.
Have had a couple of quid on the following, just as an added interest while I watch it on tv tonight;
I think rangers will qualify but it might be tight, as said above they would settle for 0-0 so I have had a speculative punt on no away goal at 5.8 at Expekt.
