Champions League: 28/29th August

Got to tip Celtic to win tonight. I won't break a betting principle ie backing a team that doesn't need to win but there's only one way to play at home after a 1-1 draw in Moscow and that is to go for it. Sitting back in front of a 60,00 support is not Celtic's style and their form is beginning to pick up with goals beginning to flow from a much more mobile midfield than they had last season. Celtic are undoubtedly at their best going forward and the Russians look to be the same on the evidence of the !st leg.

This could be an end to end affair as Spartak will have to go for it too and must score at least once to stay alive. The home crowd is the 12th man on nights like these and I fancy Celtic to get a couple of goals which would surely be enough to win. They haven't lost a goal at home in the CL for almost 2 years and better teams than Spartak have failed to win or even score at Parkhead.

After Rangers qualifying last night in Belgrade, well done to them, the Celtic players will be more fired up than ever and failure to join their great rivals in the Group stage is unthinkable. I fancied both to make it and have no reason to think any differently now.

It must of been fantastic for a neautral to watch i have to say.

Hats off to both sides as they both went for the win with end to end attacking football throughout the game. Great game of football.

Celtic have to be given credit too. How many teams after getting a 1-1 away against a very tough side woudl go and keep attacking at home? Not many id imagine so that was pleasing to see.

Now lets hope Strachan gets in a quality CB and FB as we baadly need them

aek v sevilla mon 03/09

i am scared after watching sevilla last friday, milan very easily panished them, the fact is that VERY EASILY, milanese players didnt perform at their best even for a second

i think sevilla is heavily overestimated once again

here i go on home win or draw small stakes, i cant place large money because i dont know the true strength of this aek team at the moment
