Re: UEFA Cup - 18/19/20th September

One game that interests me is Aris (Greece) v Real Zaragoza (Spain).

Aris drew 0-0 with Panionios 3 weeks ago and that was their 1st league game and Zaragoza have drawn their 3 games 1-1 against Murcia, Racing Santander and Athletic Bilbao.

Form doesn't look spectacular but I watched their game on Sat night and they really looked a good team. OK they only managed to draw but they did play really attractive football. Worth a further look

BigKegman you might be interested to know the following.
Aris changed their manager after that game with a well respected manager in Greece Dusan Bajevic (used to be in Red Star Belgrade last year). Aris has more Spanish players in the first team squad than Greek ones and they will be motivated against a Spanish team.

I won't bet on this game myself though

Re: UEFA Cup - 18/19/20th September

Many games but lets say something about few

Totenhem - Anortozis TOT keep a clean sheet @1.80 (english football is too advanced then Cyprus and if Tot play seriously no chance for Anortozis)

AtletikoM-Ercijes...ATL to keep a clean sheet @1.75..Atletiko play good in Spain but they dont have luck, Rcijes now is in the second league and they have no chances with Atletico, for @1.75 with me 100%

Bayern M-Belenenses...BAY to keep clean sheet @1.75 ohohohoho...bayern is no defense team, but Belenses, comon dont loughing me...Belenses no have 1 per mill chances in this match, gol for Belenses thoughtful thing at all

Spartak M-haken... Spartak to keep a clean sheet @1.70 ,tipical defense team again open team, Spartak is too strong defense, and Haken will be without chances too score

Everton-Metalist...Everton to keep a clean sheet @1.80 (analogical explenation as for Totenhem, too many class afore is English fotball than Metalis, only seriously acces and kcs is inevitable)

DinamoB- Elfsborg...Dinamo to keep a clean sheet @1.82...Dinamo is Romanian chapion and his play defende only on defense, strong defense and at attack, and if we score , score , if we not, we will score on next game
Elsbor come for a good result, but i doubt that they will score...1.82 is VALUE att my eyes

Chears
Sorry for my bad English

Can't find any news of who's playing Bromsgrove but i've just been on the Basle site and 90% of the Basle fans seem to think they will win.

Soz about the English but i had to translate it using google.

9 of 10 FCB fans believes in victory against SarajevoIn our newest inquiry we wanted to know, how many FCB fans in getting ahead against Sarajevo to believe. 2 ' 500 fans also gevotet.

The clear verdict: 90,5 per cent believe in the introduction of the FCB into the UEFA Cup Gruppenphase. Only straight 7,3 per cent see failing the FCB because of Sarajevo. The remaining 2,2 per cent had no opinion.

Re: UEFA Cup - 18/19/20th September

hey up, i did find some news about which players were training tonight, again its a google effort but u can make out most of whats being said..

Apart from this bit
"It expects an opponent of the strength of the sports association matte castle, added large."

Alive training in SarajevoThe crew of the FCB is at Wednesday noon probably-keeps in Bosnia arrived, where it on thursday evening at 20.00 o'clock in the earlier olympia stadium of the capital the first leg of the 1. Round in the UEFA Cup against the fiber plastic Sarajevo before possibly 20 ' 000 to 30,000 spectators will deny.

21 players, under it also that one, which had still been missing at to last Sontag in the Cupmatch in Lechelles (Costanzo, Majstorovic, Huggel, Streller, Morganella) completed then after a 45-minütigen theory meeting, in which coach Christian large its players on DVD demonstrated some Spielszenen of the opponent, an in-hour conclusion training, which all players without complaints terminated.

Before Christian large at the press conference had referred to the great importance of these two forthcoming plays against the Bosnian master. “We want again absolutely into the group plays up bars, said large at the conference of medium, at which Captain Ivan Ergic made itself available as an interpreter. It expects an opponent of the strength of the sports association matte castle, added large. Is in the away game therefore absolutely a positive result necessary, with which one aims at at least one gate success.

Re: UEFA Cup - 18/19/20th September

I will be taking the dogs of +1.5 goals at even money or better, but I will wait until close to game time to see where the teams stand. So far I have been successful in every game day except one...teams favored by 2 goals occasionally put together the massive 5-0, 6-0 win...but more often they play just well enough to win...and sometimes they even lose points. As of right now my plays would be:

Hacken +2, +110 [@ Spartak Moscow]
Belenenses +2, +115 [@ Bayern Munich]
Erciyesspor +2, +116 [@ Atletico Madrid]
Anort Famagusta +2, +114 [@ Tottenham]
Metalist +1.5, +124 [@ Everton]
BATE Borisov +2, +112 [@ Villareal]

Close, but not quite there:

Uniao Leiria +1.5, -106 [@ Leverkusen]

For those of you unfamiliar with American pricing, +112 means a $100 bet would win $112...-106 means that you must risk $106 to win $100.

Now, I don't know whether this is a strategy that works better in the early rounds when there are fewer big names. But let me just run these results by you, from the First Round, first leg, 2006, all games in which, probably, the home teams were favored big (I don't have last year's lines, but bear with me):

Hertha Berlin 2, OB 2
Fenerbahce 2, Randers 1
Schalke 1, Nancy 0
AZ 3, Kayserispor 2
Eintracht 4, Brondby 0
Besiktas 2, Sofia 0
Marseille 1, Mlada Boleslav 0
Braga 2, Chievo 0

Here were all the wins by 3+ goals by home teams in the first round, first leg last year:

Eintracht 4, Brondby 0
Basel 6, Rabotnicki 2

All the home wins by exactly 2 goals:

Besiktas 2, CSKA Sofia 0
Braga 2, Chievo 0
Liberec 2, Crvena Zvezda 0
Partizan 4, Groningen 2
Livorno 2, Pasching 0

Now again, I don't have last year's lines, but I'd be willing to bet these home teams weren't favored by 1.5 or 2 goals.

If I have time I'll go back another year, but without lines I don't really know who the big home favorites were. I would not be betting the big teams to win in aggregate by 3+ goals.

Re: UEFA Cup - 18/19/20th September

Looks like Mackie is stuggling for Aberdeen tonight. Going with the form of the Shakhtar v Celtic game on Tuesday I think you have to fancy Dnipro tonight. They're sitting 2nd behind Shakthar in Ukraine, wheras Aberdeen have made a slow start in Scotland. Given that Shakthar deservedly beat the Scottish champions I would have thought Dnipro wouldn't be a bad outfit either.

Away win (maybe Draw no Bet - to be on the safe side) for me.

Re: UEFA Cup - 18/19/20th September

Two very interesting clashes today between Bulgarian and French teams.
Toulouse v CSKA Sofia
Loko Sofia v Rennes

I'm sorry to say it, but I'll be laying Bulgarian teams.

Lokomotiv Sofia - Rennes
First I'll start with the odds from BG local bookie - 2.60 3.15 2.00
Rennes are in great shape in their domestic league, playing well away from home... The game won't take place at Lokomotiv's stadium as it's really shitey one. Loko are trying to run with the leaders in Bulgarian league, but they won't have enough class to deal with big european teams. I expect the same story as Litex - Hamburger in Tuesday when Litex tried and tried, but Hamburger scored and won 1:0.
Last year Lokomotiv surpriced me when nearly beat Feyenord, yes they looked better then, but now I'll be a bit more cautious.
I'll take Rennnes (0) at ~1.80 , 5/10

Toulouse v CSKA
BG local bookie odds - 1.35 3.35 6.00
Yes it looks like odds over 1.60 is a gift for home win and I reckon it is!
Toulouse should win this game, no matter with a single goal or more.
CSKA will try to give them a performance and qualify to the group stage, but they have better chances at their own pitch. So, I can't miss these odds here and I'll be betting:
Toulouse to win @~1.65 6/10 Betfair
Toulose (-0.75) @1.93 5/10
- 10bet - great price, Canbet have 1.95!

Also a treble for me:
Rennes or draw, double chance
Toulouse
Zenit

3/10
