Win or lose this is a value bet. yup I like this little smilie

Three important players missing. Certainly wouldn't bet on CSKA now, though I wouldn't bet on PSV either.

wish I'd known this earlier...still, thanks... all in all a good night for us

Re: Champions League 27-28 Nov

well done to everybody that was on Stuttgart. I'd imagine id would be good viewing for neutrals.

As for tonights games I'm going to chance Celtic to keep up there great home record. With Rosenborgs season being over Chelsea I can see Chelsea winning but the odds are a tad short for an away team in the Champs League.

Whats everybodies views on Real Madrid ? Lookinig at latest form they've been doing ok but Bremen seem to be on fire in the league anyhow.

Bremen have only lost at home 2nd league game of the season but that was against Bayern. Real won the first match 2-1 but since then Olympiakos have went to Germany and won 3-1 (i think) and on that form alone I'm tempted with Real getting something tonight.

Bremen are missing important Diego and goalie Wiese, too unpredictable, I'm staying away from this match!

I'm leaning towards the over in the Celtic v Schaktar match, in Asia they favour under, but I always find the Ukraines play very offensive... and opinions?

Re: Champions League 27-28 Nov

Celtic v Shakhtar

Celtic are unbeaten at home this season. They drew their first league game 0-0, and have won all six since, without conceding a goal. They have also beaten Milan 2-1 and Benfica 1-0 in the Champions League. That means that the only team to score against them this year was the European Champions! They also won all three CL home games last season. To me that suggests they are pretty much invincible at Celtic Park. They are missing Nakamura and Boruc, but both have been out for ages and will not affect the team.Hessilink is a doubt but with such a vast squad, one missing striker will have little effect on Strachans team selection.
Shakhtars boss Lucescu is under pressure after a public falling out with new star striker Nerys Castillo over the weekend, and with recent results going against them lately, may be unsettled and nervous coming into this game. They know they have to lose by one goal at the most and will be prepared to defend to the death, but the crowd at Celtic Park is usually worth at least a one goal start to the Scottish Champions, and i expect Shakhtar rto start panicking after conceding. I am 95% certain Celtic will win this and am amazed that Ascotsports are going to give me 1.95 on a handicap of just -0.5. I am going to have a very big bet on this one.

Re: Champions League 27-28 Nov

Bremen v Real Madrid

Bremen have problems: first keeper Tim Wiese, midfielder Torsten Frings and and Portuguese striker Hugo Almeida -all extremely important men- are injured. And of course Diego suspended.

On the other hand, Real Madrid won't be able to count on Heinze and Sneijder due to injury. Drenthe and Soldado have stayed in Madrid sick with flu. Nevertheless, Arjen Robben is completely recovered from his injury and has made Schuster's squad list. Pepe could also make his Real Madrid Champions League debut.

Simply because of Madrid's bad away form i am going to go for a straight draw at 3.25 with Ascotsports.

Re: Champions League 27-28 Nov

Real Madrid-0 @ 1.72

Werder Bremen will be without playmaker Diego into their must-win Champions League tie against Real Madrid. The Brazilian midfielder is suspended and Tim Borowski or Daniel Jensen will step into the limelight in the centre of the midfield. Madrid need just a point in Bremen to book their place in the next round but they will play for a win. Gabriel Heinze and Wesley Sneijder will miss out on the trip to Germany after failing to recover from injury.

Re: Champions League 27-28 Nov

I like over 2.5 goals Bremen and Madrid game.

These two usually are to shaky in defense line and the Bremen injury's makes the situation even worst for them.

Both are attacking minded and can score goals so I expect open game and over 2.5

Liverpool + Chelsea
Reds must win the match no other possibility for them.
