Milan to win UEFA-Cup ?

Seen this in other forum "Punters Lounge":
Quote:
Re: Milan to win Uefa Cup two sides of a valid argument coming out here.

Yes, there is some potential value with the 6's on offer - strong liklihood that'll shorten and laying will become a profitable option.

Those making the bayern claim also have a valid point regarding 6's not being great odds on a competition not overly valued by many now and without knowing who else will make up the serious contenders list further down the line.

westy - i think that the idea you had is that of whupunters, whereby you are looking for profit rather than betting on milan winning and seeing it through (?) although it wasnt overly clear at the start. If anyone is looking to bet on them to win, I think GusHiddinks idea to back them at each stage may prove more profitable should they win the trophy though.

My request:

As an Betfair Punter (not a trader) I still have to admited, that I don't have any clue how to trade with such odds. Please give me a hint, a link or an example how to use such a odds like that on AC Milan for gainig a nice profit.

Thanxs

Why didn't you ask that over there instead of here, swodka?

Re: Milan to win UEFA-Cup ?

I wouldn't go near those odds for Milan to win the competition to be honest.

How often do we see Italian sides in the UEFA Cup resting the majority of these games and not having much interest in it due to their domestic campaign.

I feel the same is to be said for Milan. They MUST qualify for the Champions League this season from the league and will be going all out to do so with the domestic cups and UEFA Cup not being that high on the agenda I wouldn't imagine.

He did Mickey. He copied and posted the post from here over to PL. You can tell by the
where he tried to paste over the smiley

Swodka, the idea they're getting at is that you could back AC Milan at 6/1, and then hope that if they go well and get to the quarter finals, and the price drops to maybe 3/1, you could lay them either to ensure you get your stake back regardless, or to secure a profit regardless of whether they win or not.

Of course, that's dependent on Milan taking the competition seriously and doing well, meaning the price will drop. Certainly doesn't look like the kind of price that would tempt me much though, I have to say.

@ rcgills & Mickey

How rcgills allready mentioned, I did ask in the other froum for advice, but I still feel I'm conected to thedailypunt, which is my first forum for providing tips for german soccer. Too, when Im still lacking technical scills to use the forumtools properly (not to speak about mein english language skills ) I hope tgat in future I will improve.

In this way rcgills many thanks for your efforts to explain me in a short lesson this "first back and than lay", which sounds verry mathematicly

Sorry, swodka. I had to remove all the smilie links and some bits and pieces and put it within 'quote' tags instead of 'php'. I was a little paranoid initially as there were so many PL links in there. Begging your pardon.

Ronaldinhio was really bad transfer for milan

i follow this team for years now, and i am impressed how amateur were the aproaching on this affair

the brazilian is actually an ex player, otherwise chelsea with scolari should pay tons of money to sign him

anyway, uefa cup, in not any real target for this famous team, they will use reserve squad for sure in all games, they are not borned to fight for this uefa cup, and thats guarantee

Players dont become bad players overnight Martens. He had a bad season, it happens. Then again the whole Barca side hardly performed last season but just because Ronaldinho has been running the show he takes the full brunt of it all.

Deco hardly had an outstanding season yet Scolari buys him so your theory is flawed.

I think this is just what Ronaldinho needed to breathe new life into himself and i can see him being back to his best next season.

An absolute snip at that price!

Re: Milan to win UEFA-Cup ?

No bet. Milan can see this competition far enough and will probably field their 3rd team throughout.

Re: Milan to win UEFA-Cup ?

to see him back at his best is...

like you beleive in miracles my friend catty

anyway, we wait and see, i described him as a brazilian monkey long long time ago,

i never change my mind, he is a kinda Andriano, dolce vita man, women and whatever, i dont beleive a man like this should change his behaviour,as i dont beleive that any drinker man should stop drinking one morning all off a sudden,

to be honest, i wouldent buy ronadinhio, even free of charge

i gift him to you

hehe
