Re: 25-26th November Champions league

Juventus look a fair price there, albeit they have near enough qualified but surely they'll want to put it home to bed and not risk against all odds finishing on the same number of point as zenit and risk getting beat here by more than one goal in case it comes to the head to heads.

Celtic maybe too as this is a must win game for them which brings us to Villarreal against Man U where the draw is highly likely with a point a piece being enough to see both sides through.

Re: 25-26th November Champions league

juventus at 3/1 it must be christmas

ranieries job was on the line against real a few weeks ago and he knows it basically still is, they just lost to inter so for the manager on a personal level there is no way juve can afford to back off, not if the players actually like the manager cos they werent showing it before the madrid games, and that has been proven wrong lately because of their performances.

the bookies i assume are pricing this up as they always do when champions league teams have already qualified, wrongly imo.

they are not going to lose at home to bate, just the same as real are not going to lose to zenit in the final group games both at home if they lose this game they know there safe anyways so they are not going to exert too much energy in this game id imagine ranieri will try and get an early goal then just defend for the rest of the game trying to catch em on the break all the best teams do this why run around for 90 mins when you only have to for 10 there are too many games in the season, and the players theyve got are good enuf to control games like this.

zenits season finished this week with them only finishing 5th just a uefa cup place for them next year, zenits defence makes mistakes they played well against juve in the first game where they only conceded one goal to a free kick but then juve werent in form then and they still won,and then against real their defense werent too clever they couldnt even beat bate at home 1-1 more surprisingly they even lost to real at home, real hadnt won away in the champions league for ages

juve are shit hot (didnt see the inter game)at the mo so my brave predictions for this game regardless of team news unless they play 5 kids that is,

juve win. 16/5 with betfair lads will hill & skybet are 3/1 odds are too big
juve win ht ft
juve win 1-0
maybe theyll get a 2nd but zenit will be fighting hard i think

Re: 25-26th November Champions league

next one that doesnt look right to me is bate to beat real madrid just got 13/2 madrid got injury probs both nistelrooy and higuain are out snejder is expected to play but he picked up a calf strain or something plus a few others out madrid are pretty poor away as i mentioned before if you want to be careful you can get a 1 and a quarter point start at odds of 72/100 ive not looked around for price bate not that shabby at home definite chance of an upset they are going to be so fired up for this and they know that if they perform well enuf they might just sneak into the uefa cup
it will definitely be on their minds.

likeliest bets

1& a quart goal start on the asian (at home where they drew with juve)
bate to be winning ht only

possible bets

bate ft
bateht ft

Re: 25-26th November Champions league

one more that looks nailed on is werder bremen ive talked about werder in my hamburg game post and some of the reasons they might win are there also anorthosis goalkeeper injured his finger
quote
'Beqaj has not played since straining a muscle in the 3-3 draw with FC Internazionale Milano on 4 November, but returned to training this week in a bid to reclaim his place for today's league game at Apollon Limassol FC. The 33-year-old damaged a finger in yesterday's session, however, and looks a doubt for the visit of Bremen – meaning a possible first start in the UEFA Champions League for Hungarian Zoltán Nagy. Anorthosis would secure a first knockout round spot if they win and Inter do likewise at home to Panathinaikos FC'.

anorthosis form since that has been interesting before the injured finger they had conceded 4 away in one game to the 2nd placed team in their league then out of 6 other games against lower placed teams they had only let in one goal in all games then the finger thing happened the next three games have also been played against lower placed teams they won 3-0 away fine still business as usual then they won the next two 2-1 their next game is werder bremen who are going to have to try and tear them apart they only need a 1-0 here as their destiny is in their own hands the same for famagusta but without their good keeper this team who score goals have now been severely weakened even if he does play werder will just smack the ball in to the area and jump on his hand job done werder are 11/10 ok not much value there over 2.5 goals maybe 3.5 maybe even over 4.5 both sides should score even thou there is so much at stake, usually games would end up under but bremen will know its now or never leading to hopefully will be an end to end thriller

my picks

werder to win
over 2.5, 3.5 or 4.5 goals whatever price you like best obviously i fancy the 4.5
but then im greedy when theres not very good goalies playing

Re: 25-26th November Champions league

Iaquinta will step into trezeguets shoes, not sure who the back up goalie is for buffon but he won't be able to replace him, never mind. Still fancy Juve to at least get a draw.
