Met last year in Intertoto Cup. 1-0 Liberec then 1-1 aet in the return leg. Roda (remember the 70's show) have a new manager i believe and says he's taking the Intertoto seriously. Think Dutch sides have a good record v Czechoslovakian sides. Anyone got the stats to prove or disprove it?
Reading that Vartek's main midfielder is out. Lens take this comp quite serious too do they not?
Kluivert and Aimar wont be travelling with Valencia for their trip to Gent. You think they'll still be good enough? Seems like a low scoring affair to me. Valencia didnt look to great Tuesday i believe and never created many chances.
Hamburg won 3 friendlys so far this pre-season for whatits worth. Uniao Leiria finished 14th of 18th in the Portuguse league last year. I kinda like the away on this. Anyone who actually knows what their talking about help me here?
Hamburg won 4-1 home and away in round 2 on Intertoto Komp. At first glance it looked like an away but something stuck in my head that told me to lay Hamburg. I thought Leiria had a good home record in Portugal but last year it was pretty pash. If I have time tonight I may look at these games. Betting Advice forum is usually pretty good for various Euro punters putting up their views on this competition.
There is a lot of short priced aways and it may be worth taking them on with doubts about match fitness. Most of these sides will be confident of winning the home 2nd legs and just avoiding defeat in the first legs should see them as strong favourites to qualify. However I don't think any of the teams involved will not be "up for it", I mean why enter the Intertoto if your final aim is not to get into the UEFA Cup.
Portugal as a whole is usually a hard place to go and get a victory so its going to be difficult for Hamburg.
What does anyone think of going against Newcastle?
They are resting Jenas, Emre and Parker which is going to leave them very short in the centre of midfield. I know Bramble is out injured so Taylor will probably come in to partner Boumsong.
Anyone else missing?
Maybe someone could tell me the standard of Dubnica? I remember a couple of people tipping them in the last round so some information would be nice like their home record etc?

Liberec is one of the best team in czech gambrinus liga, they take IC very seriuosly and they are very well prepared for this match. Their only injured player is attacker Pospisil, but good performance in last matches shows Holenda (came from Sparta Prague). Coach Petrik is afraid of roda's southafrican attacker Cone and says that it would be big problem, but i think it will be very hard for roda to win this match.
But on the other side i don't know what could new manager Stevens do with the team.
UNDER for me
Borussia Dortmund - Sigma Olomouc
My favourite team Sigma will be without their best defenders Kucera and Hubnik, and many other players out (but not so important for the game) , sigmas only hope is new slovakian goalkeeper Lovasik and his great reflexes, brazilian Melinho and Onofrej will start for the first time so i don't know how they play, but i think a clear home win (sad to say)
Im steering clear of all but Dortmund for tomorrow.
Apart from Kehl and Ricken it'll be the full first choice team tomorrow, and it'll be 100% focus to get into the UEFA to pay some of them bills :loon
Sigma's 0:0 against Pogon made me think twice, as by all accounts it was a good defensive showing which could possibly be repeated, but as above with the two defenders Kucera and Hubnik out it looks clear cut.
Either a decent sized single, HT-FT Dortmund or -1 handicap, depending on odds.
