Re: Champions League semi's 01-02 May

Chelsea team...

Petr Cech; Paulo Ferreira, Michael Essien, John Terry, Ashley Cole; Claude Makelele, Frank Lampard, John Obi Mikel, Joe Cole; Solomon Kalou, Didier Drogba.

Liverpool team...

Pepe Reina; Steve Finnan, Jamie Carragher, Daniel Agger, John Arne Riise; Jermaine Pennant, Steven Gerrard, Javier Mascherano, Boudewijn Zenden; Peter Crouch, Dirk Kuyt

I have given overs another shot @ 2.70 with Betfair.

Last time i went with it and was rather unlucky to behonest and if it wasnt for Reina it wouldve came in.

Now im more confident than i was.

Few reasons...

Firstly Liverpool HAVE to score so at some point in the game they are going to be all out attack leaving them badly exposed for Chelsea to counter and Chelsea have players i would fancy to score from counter attacks.

Many think Chelsea will defend for a 0-0. I dont think so. They know they score 1 goal and Liverpool have a very hard task needing to score 3 goals against them.

Crouch playing and Carvahlo missing does me good too. Carvalho Chelseas best player this season imo and he is a huge loss. Essien and Terry on Crouch. I would fancy Crouch most times here, especially against Essien who doesnt look too comfortable in defence.

Overs 2.70 Betfair worth a dabble imo

Had a dabble on the overs too. very offensive line up from Chelsea and should be more open than the first leg. Can't believe Zender starting :wasntme

Re: Champions League semi's 01-02 May

I was gonna mention the AC v Man U game on the front page to try and catch the passing trade but i was a little limited in my sources. Im not isappointed though as i know in time it will come. Anyone interested in telling us anything about tomorrow night? Is t really that much a bad game to bet on?

ps i think they might be talking about the Chelsea liverpool game in the Talk Sport forum but then again there is no guarantee on that. You could try your luck

Good luck guys.
It's been 2 or 3 years since I have finished Champions league knock-out stages with a decent profit, but I can't really mess it up now even if I screw it in the last two games.

Liverpool did not impress me in all honesty but they did deliver and they are in the final. Mourinio thinks his side was the better team but I don't give a flying rat's arse regarding what this arrogant bastard thinks.

Glory Glory Man United, thats is the only possible outcome for tonites game. two very attacking oriented teams means only one thing... high scoring game. Possible scoreline 4-3 either way but with only one outcome...Man Utd going into the finals.

evra is suspended. though ferdinand & vidic fly to milan , how many fully fit defender for manu.
last game manu attack , milan play counter attack , 5 goals....

this game milan must be attack , and manu must defend by atttack.....

over 2.25 @ 0.83

Re: Champions League semi's 01-02 May

what a match yesterday in Anfield!

A crime until the end and Pool is traveling to Athens this year.

The first 30 minutes Liverpool play one class better than London imo. And the freekick was so wonderful but so easy .. great!

And Dancing Reina in the end as penalty kick killer .. Pool was the better team!

Congratulations.. and tonight ManU will take the second ticket!

A crime?! rene what are you talking about? those Chelskies have the best players money can buy so they wont have to sit on a 1 goal advantage!?
And TBH, they paid for that mistake didnt they.. (This is something that teams from Italy will never do.. )
The team that wanted it more got its reward IMO.
This is the Champions league where Champions play, and they dont deserve to go through with this kind of negative play..

As for tonight, no doubt in my mind Milan will win and go through ..

Re: Champions League semi's 01-02 May

I am going with ManU not to lose and as a consequence to make it to the final at the best available offer.

Anything can happen in the Champions League and it's only one game for these two for the final. Milan has a decent chance of going to the final and Kaka can be outstanding once more but I have to go with the better team. Too much pace for ManU and some excellent preformances this year. The call would be clearer if Ferdinand and Vidic were ready for this one (as Milan's second goal at Manchester showed) but even if they do play, it's still to be seen at what condition they are. However, I think that ManU will find a way to score and if they do it first, it will be hard for Milan to come back to the game.

Oh and Monty H. "This is the Champions League where Champions play" is not exactly accurate is it? If that was the case neither Liverpool nor ManU would be in the competition this year. I dislike Chelsea and especially the ex Barca's translator attitude but don't forget that Liverpool got through after spot kicks. The outcome made me considerably richer but luck is not to be ignored and any team (no matter how good they are) need a lot of luck to go all the way in the Champions League. Liverpool did not outplay Chelsea over the two games (they did at the premiership game but not yesterday), at least that's what I think.

Re: Champions League semi's 01-02 May

Maybe some of you remember what did I said why MUtd will win first leg game in Manchester...something about Italian gutless approach.
They were so scary to attack and it returns to them at the end.
It was Mutd vs. Kaka game, great plat by Brasilian, the rest of team didn't show nothing special, nor Manchester stars did, but at the end they narrowly won, and probably save the return game (for spectators)...and forced Italians not to play for 0-0!

This time...someone mentioned that an open game with many goals is something we could expect.
I don't think so...maybe, as always - over 2,5 goals, but I think we're going to see a closed game, cautious approach , especially from Milan.

They won't risk to attack and left so may open space behind, and maybe receive a goal...no, they'll wait with patience to score and to hold 1-0 result.
Now, the question is: is Fergie going to allow that scenario?
He knows that his team is not capable to play an defensive kind of game, they just can't do that.
So he must find other solution and as always make Manchester to score and go through.

Milan couldn't beat Bayern and Celtic in two last games in Italy, both draws.
They wanted those victories and that were important games for them.
This one is most important, no doubt in that, for both teams.

I believe in MUtd, I like them better than Milan, so expect to see them in final.
Choosing the better price...@ 3.35 for AW, low staked.
