It was no crime Rene and allthough Chelsea probably pipped it over the 90 mins I can only recall one shot on goal from them.
The semi was there to be won and they blew it again, liverpool on the other hand gave there all and everyone of them stood up to be counted unlike Chelsea where players like Lampard failed once more to show up on the big occasion and Drogba jumping around like a big girls blouse.
Liverpool fought throughout the match with even has beens like Zenden running till he dropped, same could not be said for Chelsea and Liverpool deserved to go through.
The game overall was shite though with both teams playing the long ball game hoping for something to drop to Crouch or Drogba respectively but nothing ever did. I'll give the ref his due mind as i thought he played a blinder and let quite a lot go.
Tonights game with Milan and United should be a lot more entertaining especially as United like to play attacking football down the flanks and have the ability to score from most situations.
The first game shown that Nesta and Maldini still have awareness but age is beginnig to creep up on them as they did begin to tire after an hr or so last week letting rooney in for a couple
Saying that Gattuso had a massive game last week and once he retired injured Milan never looked the same side as they were unable to control the middle without him, he's back tonight and if he manages a full 90 mins then Milan stand every chance of winning , especially with the form Kaka is in but things will be a lot different if Ferdinhand and Vidic are playing as they won't make the same mistakes that led to both Kakas goals last week.
I have not a got a clue which way this match will go as Milan shown for long periods at Old Trafford they possess class and can hold onto the ball with sublime passing but united possess speed and if playing on the counter could quite easily flatten the Milan Defence and score a couple.
Its a game full of ifs and buts and allthough not touching it, I would not be surprised to see United go through as they are a lot stronger than they were last week and they will play at full tempo for the full 90 mins and run the legs off an aging Milan side like we saw in the first leg.
IF Milan score first though then they have the ability and experience to shut up shop which would probably suit them more playing on the back foot, giving United no space for breaks and if that happens then i'd expect Milan to go through but with Rooney and Ronaldo up front who knows.
Probably a few goals in this again along with a string of bookings, allthough after watching last nights game the refs may have been told to go easy on the cards especially with the final coming up and one
UEFA want to showpiece.
