Re: Israel

Good lad!

Just gonna leave the outright punt as a freebie now, he's paid his way so owes nothing more. I'm intruiged as to the draw though - if he gets the last slot he might just have a good shout at this!

Re: Israel

itll be good to hear the song from the semi back again, we wobbled a bit on the in running thread but he did nail it. i said halfway through he was a class above the other lot on show.

he'll probably sell a couple million albums back in the middle east now, not like the euroision dross of the uk, so fair play

Re: Israel

I just got matched at 100 on him again, looks like the market needs more convincing of this songs merits, but i don't understand how - out of all the semi finalists, Israel is the one that qualified from the trickiest starting slot by a long way.

Wonder if it was the wildcard tho...?

Re: Israel

Possible Beanie but we always thought it had enough quality from that bunch to get through without needing any help.

Re: Israel

Aye your right, what am I saying, that wildcard chat is pretty much blasphemy. Not doubted him yet and ain't about to start now. Poland was a stock Eurovision entry which didnt catch the imagination on the night - bet it was them the sneaky beggars. Or the Finns since I can't believe anyone would vote for that in a contest like this.

Ooo they are currently drawing lots for the positions in the final...back in a mo...

Re: Israel

Israel start 7th in the final so that pretty much screws their chances, altho I read that as they are between Bosnia and Finland they'll get a little boost by being a ballad in between 2 'others'.

Meh, whatever, anything a bonus, can work out top 10 potential or otherwise on Friday, tonights a night just to toast the performance.

Fek you're right Spacecat, young 'un nailed it!

Re: Israel

Final note too - never quite realised the genius of that little pause between the opening words and the song starting up...perfect chance for the cheers to ring out - was never in doubt after that

Oh and cheers for the HU on this one. I know myself when I see a good thing when I watched it but I wouldnt have had my attention brought to anything eurovision related if Beanie and Mick hadnt championed it. Micks new poker name below

Hmmm. Not quite as intimidating as THE EXECUTIONER which of course really scares everyone.

At this rate I reckon the whole forum will be on him again on Saturday night - approaching 4/1 for a top 10 place!?!?!

Ooerr! Doesn't take you long to recover does it Beanie? You are a Eurovision machine. Israel is soooo semi-final 1. Only joking. The boy has top 10 written all over him. I think I need to go look at my Israel statistics.

Re: Israel

I honestly don't know how people lived when there weren't semi finals - people's lives must have been so empty, so hollow, what did they talk about?

Just some light browsing today I think - line up the semi final 2 bets and then finalise tomorrow - out for lunch and champs league later on anyway so I have to try and readjust to normal life and conversation. Gulp.
