I'm a bit confused to be honest Mick - overall I like, but the dodgy bit comes from when she occassionally gets a bit breathy on the quiet bits, as well as a lot of reviews I've been reading from people in the arena who all say her vocals are poor(which I don't really see but for one or two minor problems, but I'm giving them some benefit of the doubt given that they are there.)

Oh crivvens...6/10, thats not so good. Apologies to anyone that followed the Hungary and Macedonia punts - Macedonia were awful, so much worse than rehearsals(altho still expected geography to save them) and Hungary, well I thought they performed up to scratch but Europe disagreed.

They are on late - 23rd infact if I remember rightly, out of 25 songs. They are on just before Russia and not long after greece, so there's a bit of a logjam of contenders at the end there.

Top stuff again Beanie - nice night with both Iceland and Albania coming in. As soon as Iceland got going I pumped some more cash onto them as well. One of teh better songs on the night IMO - shame about the lady part of the duet though. Without the make up I'd suspect she is a dead ringer for a Bulgarian shot putter.

The reason why is because of Eurovision fans. They influence the semis a lot more than they do the final, just because the final is obviously flooded by the general pubic. Eurovision fans loved this song, and were obviously out in droves for it during the semi, so the fact that Eurovision purists will be feeling exactly the same about the Portuguese tonight is some slight consolation.

It's not so much the money really (bye bye new fancy pc ) - top ten was adding a decent bit to my total but I was so blown away by the performances I really wanted her to do well. I thought it was brilliant and genuinely believed the fuckwit voters could put aside their Jeremy Kyle show tendencies and vote for something they actually enjoyed.

I just read something quite similar by an irate Estonian - a long diatribe about just how much his country hates Russia, despises them, but 25% of the population is Russian and so it coasts to 12 points every year and everyone accuses the 2 countries of being in bed together.
