Ladbrokes - Why so slow to settle bets?

Is there internet operation the slowest in the world for settling bets or is there a bookie out there in Khazakstahn or somewhere that's even less efficient?

I've had half a million bets on the football today, including bets on the Real Madrid game that kicked off at 6pm (spread over four of my internet accounts). Every single bookie has settled every one of those bets including the 6pm Newcastle Stoke game with the glaringly obvious exception of Ladbrokes.

The game finished 45 minutes ago for fuck's sake.

WAKE UP.

I don't need to use the money but if everyone else can manage to pay out then why can't the, so called, magic sign

I only bet on the horses but it's the same there. They are consistently the slowest of the big operations to cough up.

It just doesn't make any sense to me mate. If I was running an operation like that I'd want to be giving the punter their money as soon as I possibly could in order to give them the opportunity to place another bet and lose it.

I don't know if it's complacency or just a complete lack of management nouse but I really have got the impression over the last year or so that Laddies and Will Hill are being left behind by more forward thinking bookies.

Their plan may well be to keep hold of the die hard bricks and morter punters who physically go into shops every day to place their bets but those people aren't going to live forever.

I'm exactly in agreement with that ODM.

Unfortunately, for the moment anyhow, I work for Hills and the ineptitude of some of the staff and lack of forward thinking from management is quite astonishing.

Over the past year of working there I've suggested numerous ways to try and advance the business such as the offering of more football markets, such as the Asian Handicap, the firing of Derek McGovern as a football tipster (big pile of wank), as well as better ways to run the day-to-day business in shop. Each time I've been met with a less than enthusiastic "we'll look into that!"

Final straw today has to be phoning to find out prices for the African Cup of Nations.

Me: "Hi, could you tell me if you have any odds for the African Cup of Nations"
Help Desk: "Sorry, the what?"
Me: "The African Cup of Nations, it's a major football tournament starting at the end of the month"
HD: "It doesn't look like we're doing anything for that event"
Me: "Is there anyone else you could ask?"
HD: "Yes, I'll just try and find out for you..........what was it called again?"

It's really annoying when you face that kind of impediments.

And ODM is totally right, I have to check my account a hundred times to see when the bet is settled, that's why recently I'm not using Laddies and Will Hill. But Eurobet and Coral respectively are the champions in that discipline. There's no slower bet settlement I tell ya.

You want to place a bet on an american sport overnight and have a laugh, if it finishes at 3am you should have it no later than 10am in the morning, complete jokers.
