MUG PUNTING

Once again I found myself with a spare £2 after coming home from work, popped into the bookies opposite to pick up a coupon for the weekend.

So with my £2 I though I might aswell place a bet,
I did on Trap 6 of a race about half 7, it won at 5/1 to make me £12. I then placed a Tote bet on the next race, a favorite to place, it did, I won £9.

Then a horse with a name like massanger to place with the tote again, it won, another £10 comes my way.

"This is great", I think to myself, "Nut I better get going before it all goes tits up". So being up after 3 winning bets, I decided to go for the real mug shot on a Churchill downs race, US racing, so I backed the favorite at 7/5 and the trap 3 dog in the Sittingbourne 8.07 with a £12 double and stayed in the shop to watch them lose, leaving me £20 up.

I was expecting my 3 dog to go off at about 2/1 and couldnt see anything else to lead it round, I didnt take the price and was shocked to see it come up at 6/1, all I could think about was what a price itd be on Betfair, double figures easily... it duely won.

At the same time my other runner in the double, the hot favorite in the 8.03 was just doing about its best to finish 2nd, it was one paced all the way round. It wouldve been worth £200 to me.

I was angry and stuck the £20 I had to begin with in one of those bloody roulette machines out of respect for the mugs that pay for my living... one spin and it was gone.. time to leave.

Isnt it great to bet the old fashioned way?
