I know a couple of pro-gamblers who sold tips for a while because they were barred from most bookies and in one case his bottle had gone, but they didn't last long.

Seen99 I don't think the systems idea is a good one. I started off with systems myself, years ago and they simply don't work. There are no systems that produce a profit over a long time (I'm talking about racing here) that don't involve huge losing runs. People would be better served looking into handicapping methods, race evaluation or creating horses to follow lists.

Becoming an expert in a certain field is perhaps the best advise any gambler could give another IMO!
I agree with you Dave that becoming an expert in certain sport/lesgue is the best way to make profit from betting. But if you are serious punter you have to have some sort of betting or money managment system.Don't know much about racing but in fottie, basketball and hockey good money managment is necessity.

What about when you read an idea on the free forum - will you use that in your paid tips too?

(we call that masking ...)

And will you blantantly post on forums everywhere desperately trying to get more paying customers onto your list?

-------------------

I've seen at least half a dozen people pass through my site on their way to becoming "real tipsters" - none of them seemed to enjoy it ... and only one of them went into a second year.

I keep GoonersGuide.com free because I enjoy the banter - and I probably gain twice as many "nuggets" of advice from others as I dish out.

And I've enjoyed all 5 years of doing it that way.
It's a hell of a lot friendlier ...

Gooner I tried to join your site forum on 2 diff comps and got the same message about cookies on both of them needing to be cleared? I did that but still no joy
