I rate when Saddam got ousted as a big piece of news, probably just because I remember it well for whatever reason. I was in my first year at uni and all I would do was play champ manager inbetween exiting my room for meals and the occasional chinwag. I flicked on the tele after losing the playoff final on penalties with Halifax and it was where they were bringing down the Saddam statue. Instead of it falling and smashing on the floor, dust flying up as Saddam became rubble, all it did was flop to one side tamely and not even to the floor. It kind of summed the whole thing up imo the way it flopped sideways like a flacid cock of anti-justice.
