Anyone know anything about doors?

No, not the old dead pop group, doors, proper doors.

Or should I say UPVC doors. I've had one in for about a year or so now (along with some windows) and today it's suddenly decided not to close. It's catching on the frame. I'm assuming there's some way to adjust the three hinges that it hangs on but I'm fucked if I can see how.

The door hangs on the three hinges which each have a nut type thing at the bottom which look like they take an allen key.

Sure enough, I try them and they do move up and down which looks promising. Trouble is, I've been at it for an hour and tried them all in a combination of positions and it's making fuck all diference.

Anybody know anything about them?

Could it be something to do with expansion/contraction due to the weather ?
That of coursd doesn't help you solve the problem like but always nice to work out why it has happened. Either that or your head was catching it when walking through.

If its like the ones we have , if you close the door, well as far as you can you will see three plastic half circle covers over the three hinges , if you remove the bottom cover on each one , you can adjust the door by a screw type mechanism , hope this helps.

Are you sure no one has banged the actual frame btw ?

I've asked about this ODM and the door may well have settled - there may or may not be plastic caps over the hingepins which can be turned as stated above (with a srewdriver or allen key) it's a cam-like mechanism so will bring the door in or out - adjust the top one in first then the bottom one out (if needed to reduce gap between door and frame) and then equalise the middle hinge to suit.

Oh yes before doing this check the bottom door frame stops (wedge shaped i think he said) haven't worked loose. and also the metal locking lugs in the door and keepers in the frame hmm well check anything for looseness first is the impression i got anyway

I hope this helps too. Take the doors off and suggest beads ODM. Tell the family youve gone all ethnic.

I dont know anything about doors barr catching the loop of my belt holder on my trousers on them and going back out a room as i walk in (both the same thing ) Doors are to be walked out. Things to put between people. Exits. 'you are now leaving the building' I'd get some wd40 onto the doors ODM that will sort them out.
